Amazing holiday cottage
The pictures didn’t do the property any justice. The bedrooms had vaulted ceilings and looked incredible. It was very well decorated and absolutely spotless. The property had everything we could have wanted and more - the owners very kindly left us a welcome pack with home made goodies. The location of the property was great - rural and quiet with easy access to anywhere in the Lakes. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick - nothing seemed too much trouble for them. They provided us with plenty of information before hand and the cottage was well stocked with literature about the lakes, activity ideas etc. We had the best holiday!

Great stay
We stayed at the property for 3 night with two Labradors. The hosts were fantastic from booking through to departure. We informed the hosts that we would be arriving very late, they assisted us by putting the heating and lights on for our arrival. They also had cakes, biscuits etc all handmade ready for our arrival. The cottage is located in a lovely quiet village. We will definitely be returning next year. Keep up the great work

My daughter and son in law loved their stay in tuther cottage. The owners were incredibly accomodating and kept them updated with arrangements. It is a cute little cottage with fantastic dog walks on the doorstep. The scenery of the lakes did not disappoint. They hope to return in the future.

Lovely cottage and great hosts
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at T’uther Cottage. Howard and Jen have thought of everything to make a stay here as comfortable as possible. Milk and tea are provided on arrival for a welcome cuppa, and Jen’s homemade treats are delicious. Breakfast items mean there is no rushing to the store on arrival. This is a great spot to explore the Lake District. Thank you Howard and Jen!

Perfect cottage with welcoming extras
Immaculate cottage with comfy beds, lots of hot water & very thoughtful extras for when we arrived. Howard is an excellent host who popped in to introduce himself & recommend places to visit/pubs for food. The cottage is in an ideal location for visiting areas of the North Lakes & Cumbria and we were delighted we chose it for our stay. We were blessed with sunny weather so could relax with a brew in the garden too, a great little sun trap! Although we ended up not taking our dog with us, the layout of the cottage will suit any dogs on a holiday here. Would highly recommend a stay at T'uther Cottage!!

Beautiful accomodations in quaint village
Had a wonderful stay at T'uther Cottage. Howard and Jen were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed all the personal touches and baked goods! Howard was very prompt in all communications and had all the information we needed. The cottage was well stocked with everything that we needed and our kids loved playing with all the board games. Helpful information about the local area. We had a great stay and would definitely come again! The only issue was some internet connectivity issues, but Howard was very helpful and worked with the internet provider during our stay to resolve.

Perfect in every way!
Howard and Jen made our first trip to the Lake District memorable from the very start - they responded to questions immediately and this enabled us to book with confidence. They gave us loads of information ahead of our visit so we could plan our short trip well and maximise the use of our time. The cottage is located in a very quiet village not far from Cockermouth and is ideal if you want peace and quiet but also want to be fairly near amenities. It is very clean and smart - very much a home from home and you can see that its well cared for. Everything was clean and in good order and we couldn't recommend highly enough - we wouldn't hesitate in booking again! Thanks Howard and Jen for a lovely stay.

Great little bolthole
This property is very nicely presented and is a short drive from many different locations in and around the northern Lake District. Everything was communicated well and the cottage had all that we needed. We visited with our 1 year old and although we managed I would say this property would be more suited to younger babies or older children rather than a toddler. That being said we would be happy to stay again.

Beautiful cottage
T’Uther cottage was just beautiful, and perfect for a long weekend for 2 friends. It was cosy, but not tiny, with decent sized rooms and plenty of space to chill out. Immaculately presented, spotlessly clean. Comfortable sofa, VERY comfortable beds! Loved the welcome tray with home made scones and shortbread and the fact that cleaning materials and basics such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk were plentiful, not just enough for an initial cuppa as you get in some cottages. In a small village which isn’t a tourist hot-spot but is only a short drive from Cockermouth and Loweswater or Bassenthwaite. We would love to stay here again.

Such a clean comfortable cottage
This cottage was perfect for two friends to meet up. It was a fabulous base for us to go from exploring. Lovely outside space at the back to enjoy the fresh air and evening sunshine. Modernized to a high standard although retaining some of it's old charm. The photos really don't do it justice. Such comfortable beds. Lovely bathroom. Cosy lounge with gas effect log burner which we didn't need to use. The treats left for us along with basic provisions were very welcome and a lovely touch. The cottage is close to Loweswater and Ennerdale which were perfect Lakeside walks for us with the dog. Cockermouth is well worth a visit. We also went across to St Bees on the coast which was a fabulous dog friendly beach. Communication from booking to leaving was brilliant. Thanks Howard and Jen for having us. It was all really perfect!

Spent a week at the lovely little cottage. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. The cottage was beautiful and clean - Howard and Jen had thought of everything to make our stay perfect.
