Newly Refurbished Cottage in the Orchard of Manor House

Welcome to our newly refurbished, luxury cottage. Situated in the grounds of a 17th Century Manor House, this self-contained cottage benefits from its own private entrance and a private garden.

There are over 80 acres of gardens/countryside and a 3km woodland trail for you to explore. Located on the rural Essex / Suffolk border, we are just 3 miles from Colchester the oldest recorded town in Britain.

The space:
This recently refurbished cottage is on the grounds of our Grade II* listed manor house, with its own entrance and plenty of parking.

The house includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a guest bedroom with a king-size best, two bathrooms, full kitchen with all the amenities and a living area with comfortable seating and large SMART TV.

You will have access to 80 acres of estate parkland, so bring your bikes (we can safely store them) and your walking/running shoes to explore over 3km of woodland trails.

Enjoy family fun in the pool, come and pet the goats, sheep and horses, or borrow a hamper and have a private picnic anywhere on the estate.

For an additional charge, you can have exclusive fishing rights for the day on the 1-acre carp lake (home to over a dozen 25lbers).

Please note the use of the pool has to be booked in advance (this is free of charge.) Our pool is open for use from April to September.

Really wonderful
This is a little slice of paradise. Honestly everything was better than expected and we felt like we had been on a proper holiday. The owners are lovely and so very helpful.

Lovely stay, very peaceful
Great property but the bed is not a king size bed in either bedroom, they are double. We are both extremely tall and so ended up sleeping in separate beds to get a peaceful night's sleep (we have a super king at home but are fine with a king).
