We checked in and were taken up to room 311. Nice room. However it smelt so strongly of sewer gas that after an hour we asked to be moved. The front desk gladly moved us to a smaller less stinky room (102). We dropped our bags and hit the town not thinking of anything else.
We got back to the room around 2330 and showered and got into bed. Almost immediately we could feel us getting bitten. We pulled back the sheet and sure enough there were many bed bugs. I grabbed one, killed it and put it in a cup and took it down to the front desk.
The guy told me that ya they’ve had that problem before. I said well you’ll have to move us. So he puts us in a new room again.
We asked to have the first night of our 3 night stay compensated in some way as we had to move twice, and the next day we had to waste 2 hours in a laundry mat to ensure the bugs didn’t get into our clothes.
The manager told us and Expedia that he would not be doing anything for us as their policy’s state no refunds.
On top of everything mentioned above this is no 4-star hotel. It is located in a very rough
neighborhood a fair ways a way from the tram. The hotel looks good and modern but obviously has some serious issues that need to be addressed.
Don’t make the same mistake as us and stay here. It is certainly not worth the aggravation of the money.
