My family and I were visiting DC for my sons’s Spring Break. We checked in on Sunday, not a friendly clerk, very blah. We made it to our room, only after smelling what seemed to be marijuana and something being cooked, which both smells turned my stomach, fortunately our room did not smell. However, the room had a small kitchen, which was nice, but the cabinets were bare, which is understandable because it is an extended stay place that seemed to have a lot of lengthy stay inhabitants and I can only assume that anything supplied in the past went missing or damaged, therefore causing a sign offering items at a fee. We reserved the room for 3, and only had towels for 2, no hand towels. We asked for a 3rd towel and was told we had to exchange a towel for a towel but we said we only had 2 for 3 occupants, so she complied. Getting to the worst part of the stay, bugs, bugs and bugs!!!! After our 2nd night my husband had one crawl across his foot and that was enough, so we cut our stay short and found another place to stay, even at the expense of a new charge, it HAD to be done!!!! The outside grounds was the only place that seemed neatly done, which fooled us to believe it was a good place to stay. Once we moved locations, we actually enjoyed the rest of our trip!!!
