We loved this venue. The outside area is lovely and the path to downtown made it so easy to take advantage of the shops etc. without having to move the car. We are already planning on coming back !!!

Although the property is older it has been kept up very well. A beautiful setting, clean well equipped rooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff, great food, large outdoor spaces, just an all around excellent place to stay.

Pleasant place to stay
Overall I liked the brown county inn. It is very nicely maintained. One thing that would make the room better is if there were two comfy chairs instead of one. My husband had to sit on the wooden chair. Also some instructions on how to use "dish" on the TV would have been helpful. It is a nice place. The backyard courtyard and big indoor pool is a big plus.

I have a love/dislike relationship with our stay. The property itself is very clean. It’s an older building so you can hear everything outside the walls. As for what’s offered (pool, putt putt, basketball, playground, and more) it was super nice. The room itself is good for a night or two. We wish there was a mini fridge, microwave, and bigger tv. The tv in the room was as small as a computer monitor so we couldn’t even read the subtitles on the tv. If we needed a longer stay, I would look somewhere else for those things.

The location of the property was very strategic to where we went. It was in between the state park & very near/walking distance to the shopping area. There was enough parking too. The restaurant was spacious & the staff in the restaurant were young yet very respectful & accommodating. Enough choices of foods. Bacons were good but eggs were dry. Unlimited coffee & the server even offered to give us take out for coffee. The negative that i remembered was the noise. We could clearly hear the loud coughing & talking outside the room, even the footsteps & noise of the children. The worst part was that the TV was not functioning. If not for the very kind staff-JENNIFER (if i remembered her name right) our night would have been boring bec.the tv was not working. Jennifer was so patient. She did not leave until she was sure that the tv was fixed. She was in the room fixing it for maybe more than 30mins, talking to a dish technician on the other line. She took up most of our time. It was just comforting that she was very kind, patient & helpful. Next time, they should see to it that TV’s in each room should be working well. The smell of the room was not too pleasant but bearable. The furnitures & bed sheets look old. But despite of the negative experiences, i would still recommend the place because of the location. I think it is recommendable for just 1-2 days of stay.

The front desk personnel were very courteous and helpful. They had our paperwork for our reservation ready when we walked in the door, so check-in went very smoothly. We will gladly make a reservation at the Brown County Inn in the future.
