It was conveniently located for our destination. It was VERY dark in the room, and we couldn't open the curtains/blinds to let in more light. They could use more light in the room. It probably would not have been a problem if the curtains worked. The TV also did not work. We had to keep unplugging the box, and we finally got one channel to work. Only 1 elevator worked, and I was a bit hesitant to get on it because the working one made a lot of noise. Overall, we were very safe. As an owner, however, I would think I would want to make sure everything was working to its fullest potential, and if a room was not, I would try to make other accommodations (another room with working curtains/TV) or offer a discount.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean, shower could have been cleaner. The bed was extremely hard and very uncomfortable, linens could stand to be replaced as well. Also, not the hotel's fault but we could hear very loud music and lots of people laughing and talking outside in the parking lot at 1:30am and we were clear on the 4th floor.

The people working at the hotel were excellent. No issues there. However, the location is incredibly noisy from the highway and busy side streets, lots of sirens, and a parking lot security monitoring system that makes announcements over a PA system at all times of night. It’s a city hotel, so it’s unavoidable. But if you’re not a great sleeper, it will be a rough night.

Front office staff were not personable. Continental breakfast items were sparse with multiple dishes empty despite over an hour left for guests to eat. The garbage can in the breakfast serving area was overflowing causing guests to pile trash on top of the canister. The pool was closed.

I stay at this Hampton inn every few months when I visit my son in Columbus Ohio. I have been very happy on all my previous stays there. This time when we arrived the clerk was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. The pool was closed for repairs. All of the USB ports in the room were nonfunctioning. The guests in the room next to ours was playing music so loud it was vibrating our walls. I called the front desk and was told they would look into it. A few hours later my mom called the front desk and was told it would be investgated. The music finally stopped sometime after midnight.
