So this hotel has only been open 2 weeks. I completely understand that I stayed here during essentially a soft opening when some of the building is still being finished. I really wanted to and Reid to give the grace with this in mind. But they did not respond to a simple request which made a potential 4 star review into a 2 star review.
I’ll start with the good: nice, new, clean common areas, kind staff, comfortable beds. Breakfast looked good, although I didn’t have time to eat it.
The problems: my bathroom wasn’t clean. It wasn’t horrible and the floor had stains (obvious remnants of the former guest) and hair. When I checked in it was late and I was tired, so I called the front desk and I asked them to leave a message for housekeeping so be sure to clean the floor in the bathroom.
When I left the next morning, I left another message with the front desk just to be sure to make sure they clean the bathroom and I described specifically what the problem was just like I stated above.
When I came back that evening from a 12 hour workday nothing had changed on the bathroom floor.
Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I used a wet washcloth with minimal pressure to wipe the stains off the floor and they came right up. So there is absolutely no reason that their housekeeping staff couldn’t have properly cleaned the floor with minimal effort and had the room at a much higher standard.
Not sure that I would stay here again
