Wonderful quaint hotel with beautiful views right in front. The location is in the authentic, natural, the beautiful Mexican rural and small fishing town of Puerto San Carlos right on the sea. Staff were exceptionally helpful and really tried to help in English with my bad Spanish. This is a new building our room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was perfect for meeting up our whale watching and fishing tours. When we couldn't find the hotel the local policeman showed us the way to the hotel!!! Awesome. The kind police, hotel and whale tour staff and whales made our trip perfect! Looks like they will be building more rooms in their future plan. Hope so, as we don't want to miss out for future stays.
Staff was outstanding! However, if I was critical we requested hot water for the showers and did not receive until the owner visited late night #2. It seems there was mold on the top of the wall and ceiling; and speaks to why there was a dehumidifier. No TV available and possibly due to being low season. Room was clean. People were really nice but the beach was polluted with debris washed up. The primary culprit was plastics.

No sleep. A bit noisy until 11pm. Restaurant and caretaker scratch scratch scratching with a rake. Dogs barking until 3pm. Caretaker back at 5am. Now he added throwing up and coughing and infected all the laundry in the laundry room. 2 of 5 rooms next to laundry room. Gave me one. Plus paid for bay view. Gave me only nonview room. One other was free. Claimed expedia didnt pay them. Made me pay them. Probably will have to fight a double charge. You cant swim in bay. Is a mudflat at low tide. Knobs for water are reversed. C is probably for caldo. Wifi and sat tv were good. Furniture is weird. Drafty. Town is sketch. Still they may be best value around. Just not paradise on earth like the other reviews insinuate.
This is a new place that is right on the beach. The location is better than any other place in town. The restaurant was surprisingly good, and the best sunset spot overlooking the beach and on the second floor, open air on two sides. We appreciated the kitchen area in our room with a mini fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. Nice shelves to put your gear on. Best hot shower and plushest towels than we've had our entire trip. The place is still finding its legs, but will certainly become a hot spot because of its great location. We were there for whale watching, and the pickup spot for our trip was a two minute walk a block away, easy-peasy. Friendly staff. Outdoor tables where you can have a picnic or enjoy a beer. We took a chance booking this place because it had so few reviews, but it paid off. It is not swanky, but it had what we needed and it was so much better than staying in Constitution if you want to whale watch. It is way more convenient.
Great location at the far end of San Carlos. Minor check-in snafu as the hotel only showed one of the the two rooms we booked available, but a late cancellation made it all work. The on site restaurant is fantastic - good food, good prices, and tremendous variety. Definitely would recommend!
Beautiful peaceful location clean new, good food I'm restaurant with spectacular views. We watched dolphins swim as we are breakfast... Absolutely beautiful
This is a very basic hotel in a dilapidated section of town. The room was clean but the hot water was not working and the door to the room did not lock. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The restaurant was lovely and the food was very good.
Very clean and safe. Best location in the area. Wi-Fi basically worked. Restaurant was yummy and affordable. Nice hot showers. NOT fancy, very basic but for the area likely your best option
Town is VERY small. Be sure to eat at El Tiburon while you are there. Also walk out into the bay at low tide, it’s teeming with aquatic life.
