About this property
Private Lakeside Camping with Included Tent, Air Mattresses, Kayaks, Fire Wood
The Sunset Way is a private 10 acre lot with 368 feet of prime lake frontage on Shadow Lake in Concord, VT with the best panoramic view of the lake and beautiful sunsets. The campsite has no real neighbors and you will have the whole property to yourself. We have the best sunsets on the lake. Included in the nightly rate is the large tent, 2 full size air mattresses, two canopies to protect guest from the weather, 8' picnic table, large L shaped dock, raft, 6 adult kayaks with paddles and lifejackets, 2 kids kayaks with lifejackets, 1 paddleboat, 2 bundles of firewood for each night booked and a porta potty.
A 10% discount is offered for bookings that are 4 or more days.
The water is about 4' deep at the dock (no diving) and 7 feet at the raft. Our water is clear, clean and beautiful. We have a pair of nesting loons who return each year and you can hear them calling to each other during the day and night. The property is the absolute best location on the lake to sit on the dock and watch the lake activities and since we are on the east side, we get all the afternoon sun and spectacular sunsets. The lake is 120 acres and about 1.3 miles around the shoreline. You can explore the beaver dam area, the fallen trees which may have turtles, the grassy areas and look for perch, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, and Pickeral, and enjoy floating in the sun. The beach area is great for kids or relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. The patio and staircase into the water makes it easy to get in and out of the water. You can sit on the steps and dunk the toes.
Two bundles of firewood per night is included in your rental. Additional firewood is available for $5 per bundle. It will be split and delivered to the campsite with advanced payment. Or there is a woodshed with bundles available on the property and you can place cash or a check in the money box at the campsite.
Check-in is after 3 p.m. and check out is by 11 a.m. We do not charge a cleaning fee to keep guests costs down. We provide a broom for you to sweep the tent and we ask that everything be returned to how you found it. This is a pack in - pack out campsite. Guests who leave a clean campsite receive 20% off their next visit. We also offer a 10% discount if 4 or more nights are booked.
This campsite is located on a remote lake at 1,400 feet in elevation and its mostly locals who stay here during the summer. Parties are not accepted or groups over 6. This is a pet free campsite in order to be considerate for future guests. There are no utilities, however we do provide a porta potty that gets cleaned on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Adding an early arrival or late departure may be available for an additional fee. This depends on if guests are checking out in the morning on the day of your arrival or checking on the day of your departure.
20 minutes to Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT and 30 minutes to Franconia Notch. Centrally located by Interstates 91 and 93.
This is rural Vermont and you are likely to see animals. They love our apple trees, particularly the deer and can be seen in the fields in the morning and evenings.
