Built on a single floor, with good-size rooms and terrace, as well as easy access and an excellent location (less than 200m to local shop, chemist, playground; and 400m to Roche’s stunning beach), Casa Encinar is a particularly good choice for those travelling with children or older people.
Despite having been built less than 10 years ago, the house has a charm and atmosphere normally associated with older properties. The use of old wood throughout, as well as traditional whitewashed walls, terracotta floor tiles, and the typical coloured azulejos on the walls provides the feel of a traditional Andaluz country home; yet Casa Encinar is in the middle of a luxury estate (with all its facilities) and just a 5-minute walk from a stunning beach. The house has a capacity of 6 , but the sensation of space is that of a larger property; starting with the fine entrance courtyard and hall, and then moving through to the kitchen, sitting room, and the large covered terrace beyond. The swimming pool has a portable fence that can be put in place or taken away according to your needs. And the rest of the garden is well looked after and enjoys both sun and shade. There is broadband Internet connection and TV (with some international channels), and there is off-road parking for two cars.
Accommodation at Casa Encinar is on one floor and built in a U-shape around its entrance courtyard, with the bedroom wing at one end. This comprises the main bedroom, with its double bed and good-size en-suite bathroom; and two twin bedrooms sharing another good-size bathroom. The very comfortable sitting/dining room has an open fire and double doors that lead on to the large covered terrace, which in turn looks over the pool. The kitchen is traditional Andaluz in style and has all the mod cons, with a separate utility room adjoining.
A walk of about 200m will take us to the local shop, pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants, and childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis and padel courts and five-a-side football pitches. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from within walking distance, some of which are now staying open all year. A 5-minute drive will then provide you with a far larger selection of both bars and restaurants. The area offers an endless list of activities and if you book with us, we provide you with detailed information on all our recommendations, details on local amenities, and our up-to-date guide to the best of everything! You could spend a wonderful holiday here without a car, and just hire bikes; but, assuming you will have a car, it’s 15 minutes to Conil, 20 minutes to the hill-top village of Vejer-de-la-Frontera, 30 minutes to Cadiz, 40 minutes to Tarifa and Jerez, and 90 minutes to Seville, all of which are well worth visiting.
