"Had a lovely stay here recently, the staff were really great and very friendly, even allowing me to stay in my room later than the official check-out time as I was getting ready for a wedding. The room itself could have been a little cleaner and one of the lamps by the bed didn't work, but overall it was perfectly fine and more than clean enough for rooms above a pub :) The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in a while (especially after driving 7 hours to get there!). Breakfast the next morning was included in the price for the night, with a selection of both continental style and cooked options, my full English came out within 15/20 minutes of ordering and I had a proper, cafetière coffee. Very pleased and would definitely stay again if I'm back in the Lakes!"
