Rooms were nice, but exterior upkeep was bad. Bad location, nothing walking distance. No elevators, had to lug bags upstairs at 66 years old. Restaurant has been closed since covid even though signage still says there is one. Stayed there because it was pet friendly, even the pet area was not kept up. Doggie poop trash was overfilling and many piles left. Would not stay here again.

Needs a lot of maintenance, the air conditioning was not working and it was 78 degrees in our room, they could not move us to another room so they brought us a fan. We were told we could talk to the manager in the morning, went to check out the next morning and asked for the manager but they would not be in until 3:00. The room was very dated!

Upon arrival, the young lady at the front desk was polite and helpful, but I was uncomfortable with the presence of a young man who appeared to be lingering at the desk. I was uncertain if he was a staff member or simply a visitor, and his presence was off-putting during the check-in process. Once I entered my room, I was dismayed to find the conditions were well below the standards I expected. There were several issues, including: Stained bedding Crusted residue on the shower curtain Mold around the tub Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom Due to the late hour, I had no choice but to stay despite the room’s condition. I have attached photos documenting these concerns for your reference. Additionally, during checkout, I found the interaction with the front desk staff equally disappointing. The woman at the desk did not inquire about my stay, and when I requested the manager’s email, I received an eye roll and was handed the information without further assistance or concern for my feedback. After over 48 hours i have still not herd back from the manager of the establishment (wonder if i even got the correct email from the front desk clerk?)

Staff was friendly and helpful with questions. Walking distance to dining option. If location had hot breakfast options i would rate 5 stars. While Coos Bay is not necessarily a resort town compared to Bandon, the Red Lion is a nice place to stay for families and pet friendly in this area of the coast. I would stay here any time.

They offered a breakfast but had nothing to offer. Cooler was empty. Only had cereal but had not milk no juice not anything but dry cereal. Had coffee! Good things was room were clean.
