Private swimming-pool, rap-around porch, and breathtaking views!

The cabin is located on a quiet back road, at 2min from the Taconic State Park, 5min from Bash-Bish falls, and 4min from Catamount Ski (aerial park) mountain. It has a fenced-in swimming-pool for privacy, a rap-around porch with fans to keep bugs away, and views of two ponds and mountains.
There are three bedrooms: bedroom 1 has a queen size bed and full bathroom, bedroom 2 has twin beds, and bedroom 3 has a double bed. The upper level loft has a futon and the living-room has a pull out sofa.
The basement has a ping pong table and other games for entertainment!
The swimming pool's heat is turned on only when needed, and it is open from MDW - SEPTEMBER 30th. There is a $25 fee a day for using the pool heating.

VERY IMPORTANT!
Please bring extra paper towels, toilet tissue, trash bags, detergent and kindling.

Okay house, volatile owner
The house was fine. Comfortable for a family of 4. Pool is small by pool standards, but it was appropriate for a family with very young kids. House was nicely set up when we arrived, so I appreciate that the owner put thought into creating a good first impression. Overall, my family had a pretty good time, but a few issues dragged down the rating for me: 1) Some of the towels smelled musty/mildew-y 2) There was a toaster that worked, but the bottom piece that supports the bread was broken and as a result the toaster consistently burned half the bread slice while the other half remained un-toasted 3) I appreciate that the owner was upfront and included in the listing that guests should bring toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. But, not providing these items leads to a bad guest experience. 4) There are quite a few bugs in the house. We squashed the largest millipede I have ever seen (7-inches), and while laying in bed reading at night, I averaged killing 3 moths that I felt fly into me. 5) The owner seemed pretty good for the majority of our interactions. However, there was one issue where I paid for pool heat via Venmo the day before my stay, and the owner confirmed receipt and thanked me. Then, after I arrived, the owner complained about Venmo charging her a $7 fee. I tried to explain why this made sense. But, she wouldn't have a conversation with me about it and ultimately said I had to pay her to cover the fee or LEAVE THE PROPERTY. Very volatile individual...

Peaceful getaway
We really enjoyed staying here and lounging by the pool! The house had all of our basic needs and we enjoyed visiting the farmers market, Bish Bash falls, and the surrounding beauty of the area. All of the folks in town were really nice, too! Viviana was very communicative and helpful, and we were so happy to enjoy peace and quiet at her beautiful home.

Wonderful stay at this pristine property with views and in a great location. Would highly recommend this home for your visit to the area. The basketball game and ping pong in the basement is super fun! The deck is perfect for enjoying morning coffee and evening cocktails. We would definitely return !

Wonderful House 8mins from Catamount Ski
The house was very nice, clean and spacious. The pics don't do it justice at all. Our host Vivi always provided timely responses to all our inquiries. She made sure we enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. The best thing for our group was that the house was only 8 mins from the Catamount ski area. The nearest supermarket and restaurants were 6-8 mins away. We highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to stay near Catamount.

Blissful Retreat
Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming property. Stunning views - close to the Harlem Bike Trail and other places of interest. The pool was very clean, and after an energetic morning of cycling and hiking we enjoyed a nice swim and lazing around the pool with a good book Vivi, the host, was very communicative and made the whole process very easy.

Amazing location and pool!
Loved this location, absolutely beautiful. The property had everything we needed and was close enough to local stores to get groceries, etc. also close to some great hiking, but we didn’t leave for long because the pool was incredible and so much fun! Our host was also great with communication and made sure we had everything we needed.

Epic view
The view alone makes this place heavenly. Minutes from great restaurants in Hillsdale and sneaky back round to Catamount. A winter wonderland, but suspect amazing year round. We can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer to bike the nearby Harlem Valley Rail Trail. And Vivi is the best host!

Beautiful setting
My family spent a fall weekend at this home while attending a family wedding in Philmont. The home is very nice but does allow pets and with most rooms carpeted, anyone with a cat or dog allergy could possibly have a problem. Vivi was very easy to connect with which and was quite helpful.

Best rental in Copake!!!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Vivi’s place! We swam everyday in the refreshing pool and enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch(also a perfect spot to watch the sun set). We can’t wait to come back to this relaxing retreat!!

Great weekend in beautiful country setting!
Our two adult children joined my husband and me for three nights at Vivi's beautiful country house. The house was comfortable, well-equipped, and clean - plenty of hot water and excellent wifi. Especially helpful were the lists on the walls throughout the house that answered all the questions before we asked them. It is clear from her communication as well as the excellent condition of the home and the property that Vivi cares about providing the best possible experience. The location has easy access to lovely countryside and cute little towns on both sides of the border. Highly recommended!

Nice mountain getaway
Booked this in January when COVID was in full force and did not appear to be slowing down so wanted something that allowed us to get out of town but remain in NYS so no one had to worry about testing requirements to return to work, This was a great property and perfect escape from stress before our son returned to college. We have never been to this area of NY and found lots of fun places to explore and then returned to hang at the pool. The house is well stocked with kitchen utensils and plenty of seating. Loved the porch for coffee each morning. Thanks for a wonderful place to getaway.
