The Strand Hotel had very nice staff and is in a good location near Nyhavn, and the room itself was fine overall. My main frustration was the bathroom, which had a sink and tub that barely drained and both looked pretty worn out. While the experience was just okay on an absolute basis, I looked at a lot of hotels in the area before booking the Strand and this one seemed like it was nicer than many others at similar price points.

This pace was great! The location is a block from Hyhaven restaurants and an easy walk to shopping and Christmas markets. The staff was incredible! Ann did a great job of ensuring we had an awesome stay! Breakfast was always a treat with many choices. They booked restaurants for us, called a cab when needed and were always eager to help with any request. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. If we are ever in Copenhagen again we’ll definitely stay at the Strand!

Great hotel, at the beautiful city center near Metro. Staff did a superb job at directing me to the nearby 1733 Danish food restaurant, a delicious eatery, and made a reservation for me, which was fantastic as it was my first time in Copenhagen. Next morning the day shift staff explained how to catch the Metro to the airport, which proved faster than the taxi I took the day before from the airport to the hotel at a fraction of the cost. Bravo! I highly recommend the Strand Hotel!

We were so pleased that the hotel we picked through an Expedia search was perfect. From the warm reception from the staff, perfect location to walk everywhere, ability to grab a glass of wine and chat in the lobby- all made for a memorable stay for our family. I’ll add again that the front desk staff was particularly helpful and knowledgeable!

OK, not great.
The hotel overall was in a good location and cleanliness and room was fine. I was disappointed by two points mainly that may sound minor but actually had a bearing on our view of the hotel. Firstly the receptionist we met was not particularly friendly which was a surprise as everyone and I mean everyone else we met in Denmark was very friendly. When asked if we could have a jug of water for our room we were told that we could only have a mini glass each and that the mini bar would have a bottle of water in each for us. When I got to the room there was only 1 bottle in the mini bar. So yeh, strange, I don't think I have ever been to a hotel and not been given a jug of water to take to bed, maybe it's a Danish thing, I don't know. Just her overall attitude with us was a bit off. Then the next day we came down a met another receptionist who lovely. Also, I get it, people have off days, however, its hospitality, your job is people, we were perfectly polite and respectful to you, we just expected it in return. Secondly, I would say it felt a little cheap and maybe time for a redecoration, the room felt tired and cramped, but this had no impact on the cleanliness.

Brilliant, the staff are amazing,they helped us out as our flight got cancelled so they sorted out an extra nights stay and threw in breakfast, they also helped us book the cinema as it wouldnt accept my number. Its a really central hotel for everything

Wonderful Hotel. Great staff & great breakfast. Location makes it easy to get everywhere. The Metro (from the airport) is a nine minute walk and Nyhaven is right around the corner. Everywhere else is easily exploratory in foot. We can’t wait to revisit - everything was lovely.

Great hotel for two days in Copenhagen
Good location, short walk from Metro and Nyhavn. Separated breakfast deal so we only pay for the first morning we can enjoy, not the second morning we had to leave early for the airport. Breakfast was great to sample different Norwegian style food, very tasty and healthy.

The Copenhagen Strand enjoys a fantastic waterfront location in easy walking distance of all the attractions we wanted to visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful and our room was perfect for our needs. We would defintitely stay at Copenhagen Strand again and recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.
