Great stay
A very comfortable and spacious hotel with great views. Very clean throughout. Great service in the restaurant and bar area. The only downside was a small bathroom (especially in relation to the size of our junior suite) with a shower in the bath. They really need to refurbish these older bathrooms but we had a great stay despite this.

Paradors excel in service and quality
Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the food and service was excellent. Only disappointment was that the pool area was closed and gate locked and there were no chairs or benches in the shaded areas. I was told that the sun shade canopies on the bar terrace were out of order but a manager managed to get one of the handymen to repair a couple of shades after multiple requests for a seat in the shade.

A little bit far from the centre but we were able to take the car a third of the way and walk the rest The staff were all lovely and helpful We had a huge room which was very comfortable Only negative was felt 19 euros each was expensive for breakfast

This qualifies as a parador not because it is a converted castle but because it was built on historically significant land. Nice pool area. Easy access by car and parking.

Lovely room and great poolside area. The food was a bit disappointing, both the evening meal, the bar options at lunchtime although the breakfast was pretty good.

Really enjoyed my stay. It’s 3km out of town so about 9 euros in a taxi to get in. Great pool and gardens though, so there’s the trade off. Some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but I like that. Staff, food and facilities are excellent. Worth paying for a pool view with balcony. Overall, real value for money.

Another Parador visit
Two night stay at a very comfortable Parodor. We had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Only issue was the shower sometimes ran scaldingly hot. Breakfast was good but could have been better. Coffee was foul.

It is a shame the Parador is not within walking distance of the historical area but there is good parking within 5min walk of it so all not lost.
