Contact us for more details! Private pool open for 2024 season thru December 1, 2024 (weather permitting). Pool heat is available in the spring and fall for an additional fee of $50/night plus tax. New Improvements for 2022--Carpet Free, new luxury vinyl tile in all the bedrooms! Smart TV's throughout! All new mattresses and box springs for summer 2022! Brand new construction in 2017 in Ocean Lakes (Section O of Ocean Sands) Five bedroom, three and a half bath. Ground floor contains a spacious game room with large TV, one bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with two twins, full laundry room, full bathroom. Ground level access to car port from rec room. Private 13x26 pool with plenty of deck space and outdoor shower. Second level contains beautiful kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, living room with half bath and a covered porch to relax on. Master bedroom with king size bed, private bath and access direct to covered deck. Third level contains two bedrooms; one with two sets of twin bunk beds and the other with a queen and a shared jack and jill bath. This home is just a short three minute stroll to the beach access. Also includes guest membership to Ocean Lakes Swim and Tennis Club just a short walk from home. All bedrooms have their own wall mounted flat screen tv's.
We provide sheet and towel service EXCLUDING beach towels. (all sheets, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and kitchen towels—beds will be made with sheets upon your arrival and towel sets in the bedrooms).

Premises is restricted to use by Family Groups Only. A family group is defined as parents, grandparents, children and extended family members vacationing in one home. A non-family group is defined as gathering for an event,
unmarried young adults, high school students, college students or any non-family group. EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED: Chaperoned or un-chaperoned non-family groups, fraternities, school or civic groups. ABSOLUTELY NO HOUSE PARTIES ALLOWED.

This neighborhood does not allow golf carts.

Perfect for Multiple Families
We had 5 teenagers and 5 adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect to give us all our own privacy when needed. The pool and TV area was a major bonus. The most difficult part of the trip was getting over the sand dunes with all of our beach stuff (but that is everywhere on OBX). We all wish we could have stayed longer!

We’re two families who have been renting a different vacation every summer for the better part of 20 summers. We never rent the same place twice, but if there ever was one we’d consider, this would be it. This is a PERFECT home for two families with “adult” children. Ours are 18-21 so three plus a friend for a total of 8. The home can comfortably house three families. The beach is a reasonable 5 minute walk. We typically cook so we’ve grown accustomed to lugging along lots of extra kitchen items because at we all know all too way, most rentals are stocked with barebones minimums, but to our surprise, this house was well stocked with the usual items we find in our own home. Even a crock pot! A first for us. There isn’t a ton of privacy as there are about 8 homes facing each others pools, and given the many levels of decks, we were surprised to discover the music and noise is pretty contained and maybe everyone was respectful or old, but we never really heard partygoers being loud or obnoxious. Maybe we were lucky? Be warned. The traffic to Corolla is brutal on arrival and departure, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive an email alerting us the house was ready at 12:00. Access to supermarkets and restaurants is plentiful and within a mile. My recommendation is arrive and depart EARLY!! The miniature golf and bumper cars are a must, but go EARLY! Jet skiing is a must and worth the splurge. Just don’t go to DUCK or south! Traffic is always bad there.

Very nice clean property with pool. Beach was nice and clean. Excellent response from property manager to resolve minor problems. Only one towel was provided per person. The neighborhood was nice but houses were very close together. The master bedroom had a very high bed which could be an issue if you have mobility issues. Also many stairs for beach access. Bring salt and pepper etc, nothing provided.

Awesome vacation!
We had such a great stay for the week at this VRBO home. Great location, super close to the beach access (easy enough for 3-5yos to walk), great neighborhood (usually pretty quiet), pool was a great addition to our stay. The house is great for 2 families (like us!). Clean, spacious, loved our stay. Easy to communicate with property manager when needed! Would def stay again!

Not bad for our first time in OBX
Nice place and location; no views, but fairly quick walk to the beach. I was disappointed at how close the neighbors were. And when the sun came out, so did everyone’s music. I joked with my husband that it felt like we were in South Philly. From your balcony you can see into many other yards, and they can see into yours. If you are on the pool level, you won’t pay attention to it as much…I just prefer more privacy.

Amazing stay
We just had our best family vacation ever and this property had a lot to do with it. I'm (jokingly) tempted to write a terrible review so we can have this place all to ourselves in future years. The house was pristine when we arrived. Clean towels, linens and spotless otherwise. The home is extremely well maintained, great appliances, plenty of space and comfortable furniture. Great entertainment options and other nice little touches throughout. Close enough to the beach that our 3 kids (3, 5 and 7) didn't even complain once about the walk. The property managers were extremely responsive when we had minor questions. We can't wait to stay again!

Wonderful House!!!
Overall... the house was wonderful. We had a great time. Pros: A/C worked well. Washer/dryer worked well. Beds were plentiful (12 of us) and extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and seating was plentiful. Communication with property management was exceptional (pool filter crapped out and a new one was installed the next day). Pool area was clean and seating was adequate. Pool itself was pretty small for our family but we made do. Shopping (groceries, souvenirs, etc) were all close by. Cons: Rear deck (overlooking the pool) had no seating. BBQ grill (specifically the grates) was very rusty. Could use a small fridge on the ground floor (pool level) as drinks were 16 long steps up to get to the kitchen Not house related but... Although the beach was only a short walk, the beach access was difficult -- 34 steps up the dune and 32 down the other side. Humping chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc (as well as the older, less mobile, crowd) was a chore. There was a ramp a few miles down the road but it was not fully operational -- only half the ramp was useable and the other half was closed off.

Family vacation
Had a great week with my family, including one set of grandparents and two young kids. The house was exactly as advertised and very comfortable for our week long stay. The location was great, with delicious food options less than a mile away. A hot tub and/or the option to heat the pool would have been nice features to have, but the weather warmed up and we enjoyed time in the pool. Overall would highly recommend this home and would definitely return.

The house itself is fine but the furniture inside is very cheap. All the beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. So much so you couldn’t move if you were sleeping with anyone because you would wake them up. All the carpets were dirty and the garbage can in the kitchen needs an upgrade, it was from 1980. The pool is small but it was fine for small kids. If they had been teenagers it wouldn’t have worked. Beach access was also very hard. Walking up several flights of narrow steps with kids and all the beach chairs, umbrella, etc was not relaxing for a beach vacation. I would not recommend this house or this area.

Home was gorgeous, clean and close to the beach. Property manager was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. 3 minute walk to the beach. Only downside were the mattresses. Terrible mattresses! They really put money into making the house beautiful, I wish they would invest in better mattresses.

This property checks all the boxes for a great family experience (Grandma and Grandpa with two families of 4). It's a reasonable walk to the beach and is a well-planned house. The kids enjoyed the pool and the family- sized table brought everyone to fun family meals.

Great house for groups
We had a wonderful time at this house. We had 2 kids under 4, grandparents and siblings. Posting was accurate. Pros - quick walk to beautiful beach, good layout of the house - quiet upstairs for the baby to go to sleep while the rest of the crew hung out downstairs, kitchen well equipped, loved the outdoor TV and bluetooth speakers in the main room, laundry was convenient Cons - pool is not heated, would have been great to have a hot tub, beds were very uncomfortable (I tried multiple), didn't have a crib or a high chair which would have been convenient, TVs were dated (couldn't get Smart TV or Netflix login, etc.), make sure you bring Shampoo it is not provided, checkout was a little too early on our last day (10 AM) Overall great house, I would stay here again! We had a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed our stay! Excellent location super close to beach. Very friendly people all around, very respectful of your privacy. I also noted people were very COVID-19 conscious...which I was a little on edge about due to pushback from people. Near stores and we actually purchased kites! Had a blast! Owner Rebecca was amazing and super quick to answer any questions. Hoping to come back in June 😊👍

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our stay at Hat Trick. The home was incredibly clean and well maintained. The location was a short (5 min) walk to a very enjoyable beach. Questions were answered quickly and helpfully. While the neighborhood was friendly and the proximity to the ocean was super, there was one drawback for our family that the neighborhood is dense (as can be seen in the photos, so this was not a surprise) which meant you could easily hear neighbors when they used the outdoor areas. Our kids loved this home and are asking to return again.

Beautiful Home and Very Clean
This home is gorgeous. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials, which was very much appreciated. If you are cooking for a large group, you will have everything you need. Rebecca, the property manager was very kind and was super easy to get a hold of. The only downfall about this property, is the pool ISN'T heated. IT was freezing! There is also no hot tub, which we knew a head of time, but most houses do come with them. It would be nice to have one in the future if the pool isn't going to be heated. You will love it here! Fantastic Property!!
If I could give Rebecca 6 out of 5 stars for communication I would. We had numerous questions leading up to the stay and while we were at the property, all of which were responded promptly and with a fantastic attitude. The home was in a great location so the kids could easily get to the beach, and just a few minutes drive/ cycle up the road the supermarket and restaurants available made the evening wind down a stress free ordeal and the morning breakfast orders a breeze. The kids loved the option of the pool while the parents were getting everything packed and ready for the beach so again, kids were happy and made the parents time more enjoyable not having to deal with any outbursts. Was in a great location to venture out to the lighthouse, the 4x4 beach, Historic Corolla Village, and shopping at Duck. We hope to return at some point post covid to really see what the area has to offer but as a getaway from it all this really was an excellent choice and would recommend this property to anyone.
