We have stayed at Island Hotel many times. The property is well kept. Housekeeping is offered by request for a more than one night stay. Last 2 nights we had loud inconsiderate neighbors, no fault of the location but spoiled our stay. No hair dryer but an iron but no ironing board. Would have much preferred a hair dryer. Don't know why, but none of the hotels we have stayed in have a mat at the entrance to catch the beach sand. Staff is great! Hot water with shower pressure! See you next trip!

Always end up at this spot and I can’t complain. Is it luxurious no but for just needing a clean and quiet place to rest your head it’s perfect! Staff is friendly and helpful and polite. Will continue to book in future stays.

I had previously stayed here once. It was nothing special but affordable and clean on that occasion. After my most recent stay, I will no longer stay here again. ISSUES IN ORIGINAL ROOM BOOKED Moldy & Leaky Kitchenette—Our room had an overwhelming smell of mold. Upon looking under the kitchen sink, it was evident that a large amount of water was leaking under the sink, which was the source of the horrible smell that started making our throats scratchy. (Photo included) White Substance on Bed- A white substance was on the bed skirt. I have no way of knowing what it was, but after seeing it, it's hard to imagine it as being anything other than bodily fluid. (Photo included) Dirty Floors- Upon wiping some water off the floor, it was also evident that the floors in this unit had not been cleaned in a very long time. (photo included) ISSUES IN THE NEW ROOM Due to availability, the motel moved us to another room without a kitchenette. Thankfully, we had not gone grocery shopping, so this was not a huge deal. However, a room without a kitchen is cheaper than a room with one, so we were told we had to deal with this price difference through Expedia. More on that later. MORE FILTH- The new room did not smell like mold but was still disgusting. The walls had never seen a cleaning rag. There was yet another drip on the bathroom wall, this time reddish brown that resembled blood. This room had not been deeply cleaned in a very long time. Something creepily dripped from the elect

Overall stay was great except the AC unit in my room (110) was too loud and would wake me up every time it turned on and the TV’s color was horrible and I couldn’t fix the color settings. Also, it would be great to have an extra waffle maker or two as I had to wait for almost 30 minutes to make waffles for my nephews even though there was very little people in front of me to make the waffles.

During our anniversary getaway there were a couple of stains on the first set of towels my husband and I were supposed to dry off with.I believe my room was growing a bit of black mold on the top part of the bathroom door, a few of the metal rods in the bath were rusted Bed sheets had crusted stains. Breakfast was underwhelming not a wide variety of fresh food and need more than one appliance for waffles or toasters. However, the staff are very friendly, very quick and efficient when it came to getting a fresh set of clean towels, more toilet paper and they picked up the phone very fast at the front desk at any hour of the day. Property management should invest more into their property to make it more cleanly, with desirable breakfast, with simply adding fresh eggs, meats, sausage, and bacon.

Great staff, i guess it's a thing i have never seen a bad review over several years of checking this hotel. This was our first stay here and true to it's history did not disappoint. The grandsons loved the pool. Beach is nearby and all locals seem to ensure visitors feel welcome...Martin

Bathroom smelled of urine. Shower curtain looked dirty, old, stained on bottom. Had to have television replaced, due to "blue" picture. Mattress cover had stains, ceiling light fixture was rusted (probably original fixture)
