In summer, the evocative lyrical season of the Macerata Opera Festival, which welcomes in the imposing and scenographic Sferisterio also concerts of the most important singers of the national and international contemporary scene.
The area also boasts a variety of extraordinary typical food and wine products, yet to be discovered and which will pleasantly surprise you: from the ciauscolo, the famous spreadable soft salami, to the cooked wine and the Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, without forgetting the popular mistrà Varnelli and traditional cheeses.
