STAY AWAY - TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FALSE ADVERTISING
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL. I’ve traveled extensively throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America, and this is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The main issue was the ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF—many employees were INCREDIBLY RUDE, UNHAPPY, and lacked any accountability. Even managers, including the front desk manager and the manager at Pepe Scuba, were disrespectful not only to us but to other guests as well.
Here are the major issues we faced during our stay in March 2025:
• HORRIBLE FOOD
• “NICER” RESTURANT RESERVATIONS IMPOSSIBLE to obtain
• "ROOM SERVICE" nonexistent
• NO SAFE KEY
• NO BACK UP LOCK ON INSIDE OF DOOR
• NO REFRIGERATORS IN ROOM
• WATER OUTAGE several hours one day
• HOT TUBS ARE A JOKE - the one working is COLD
• NO LANDLINE PHONE to contact front desk
• LOUD MUSIC by the pool, making it impossible to relax.
• UNPROFESSINAL STAFF lied to us several times and scolded us for not wearing wristbands that kept ripping
• SCOLDED FOR DRYING WETSUITS by pool bc room too damp to dry there
On the plus side, the room was spacious, the bed was decent, the Wi-Fi was reliable, the AC worked, and the hotel seemed generally safe (nothing was stolen from our room).
However, the OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS SO DISAPPOINTING THAT I WOULD NOT RECOMMNED THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
