Great location, nice house, poor service
I read great reviews before booking, so was really surprised that host communication was rough throughout our stay, beginning with receiving the wrong lockbox code to enter the property. The services mentioned in the ad were not available, as we were just given phone numbers to contact the chef or taxi driver, and neither responded. We couldn't coordinate with Hector to rent his cars, but ended up renting cheaper from the nearby airport. With no chef, we ended up shopping and cooking, but the oven was damaged. There was no drinking water for the first two days. These aren't deal-breakers, but at the price, service should be higher, with the home ready for guests. For people needing to use all four bedrooms, know that one of the doubles faces east and there are only very sheer curtains, so it's blindingly light at sunup. That room faces the street and traffic was very loud, so room 4 would require very sound sleepers. The other three bedrooms are very nice and comfortable. Wifi throughout was extremely poor at times, so for anyone needing to connect for work, not ideal. The water heater allowed for very short hot showers with timing carefully staggered, which is hard with seven people. And the cameras -- being surveilled as paying guests is offensive. The location, with the ability to snorkel right off the dock are wonderful, and the house could be if things noted here are taken care of. The one thing I was concerned about, the proximity to the airport, was not a problem.
