Check it out if your staying nearby.
Great, place to stay. Clean, good size room with a good overhead shower. Clean towels and a good size bed. A kettle, teas, coffee and hot chocolate it's on a busy road above a what are provided as standard and there's a good hairdryer in a draw. sounded busy pub, so don't expect complete silence. The traffic through the night did not wake me. Absolute bargain price considering the time of year. Breakfast was included in the price. I had the full English, on the first morning which hadgood size portions and a good variety on the breakfast menu. A fresh fruit and sugar waffle on the next morning. The decaf coffee was a nice and didn't come out of a sachet. I would definitely stay there again

Quaint pub with good dining options and plenty of space. Room was a little dated and could do with some TLC but the staff were fabulous, very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend this place to stay and eat & drink.

Fantastic place
We enjoyed a brilliant stay here and couldn't fault anything. The room was spacious, a little dated but very comfortable especially the bed! The food was excellent and there is a good selection on the menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely book again when we come back to the area.

Annoying
The staff was cheerful. The meals were fine except we had to wait about 35 minutes for a simple breakfast. We had two rooms. One was fine. The other was extremely cramped. We had no place for suitcases and had to step over them and walk sideways to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was fairly large and modern, but the drains eminated a horrendous smell. Couldn't open the windows in the room because there is a nearby pig farm.

Great value. Comfortable and quiet accommodation. Dinner much better than standard pub food - home cooked from scratch. Breakfast too was original and excellent. Staff professional and friendly.

A game of two halves.
The place and room were lovely. Comfy bed and a good nights sleep after a very nice dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was a total contrast. The lady who served us I think was embarrassed at what she was given to serve is. Two boiled eggs with black toast (I meant very burnt). Luckily she said she’d get some more. The eggs waited while the toast was toasted. I’d ordered a bacon sandwich and asked if the rind could be crispy. Clearly beyond the skills of the chef. What was served was rock hard, black burnt bacons. There were two pieces in the sandwich that were sort of edible. After trying to eat it, as I had a work call soon after, I just sent it back. I didn’t have time for a replacement. But what a difference between the night before and the morning after. The lady serving was clearly embarrassed and came to find me with a £10 gift voucher against a future stay with them. As we live about 100 miles away we’re not likely to be in the area again.
