The hosts were very welcoming and gave great recommendations on what beaches and restaurants to go to in the area.
The beds were comfortable, the AC was good and the rooms were immaculate.
The hosts, Louis and Veronica, were very welcoming. The room was very nice, and we were within walking distance of some restaurants that we liked quite a bit. The property was very close to the turtle reserve. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Excellent location to see the turtles!
Room large, beds comfortable, shower hot and powerful.
Fridge and air-con a plus.
Could do with heavier, thicker curtains.
Agradecidos.
Luis&Veronica are very friendly and accommodating. They have been very helpful by taking us to buy food, also dropping us off to various places to hike, and to go to nearby beaches etc. I would highly recommend this place to everyone interested in this area around Ostional,Costa Rica.
Had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the tree house room which was clean, spacious, and provided a nice view of the surrounding area..
The managers Luis and Vero couldnt be nicer and more pleasant.
The local dining and bar establishments were walkable and had good food and drink .
Wish i could've sfayed longer
The property is walking distance from the main turtle nesting beach which was our main focus.
The rooms are simple but adequate, a clothes
hanging rack or clothes drying line would be a great (and cheap) improvement.
There is very little in the area (1 provision shop & a couple of eating joints) and a Tuk Tuk ride to the closest âtownâ is USD $20 one way.
Our first time in Costa Rica and the cost of transportation and food have taken our breath away. Made us much more grateful for where we live đ
The property was nice, but the surrounding area seemed sketchy. A notification board outlined beach rules, including nighttime beach access, except during arribadas (mass turtle nesting events) when a fee is required for turtle searching. The board prohibited white lights on the beach, yet we observed people using them in run-down shacks, raising concerns. Many restaurants were closed, possibly due to the holidays. Renting an SUV, Jeep, or truck is advisable for navigating washed-out roads in the area.
We were hoping we'd time it correctly for an arribada. We didn't, but our time was salvaged by all the fantastic suggestions of the property owners. They gave us contact for a guide (Gilbert) I took for a 5am tour where we were able to help turtle hatchlings get to the ocean! The nest had been disturbed by dogs and there were 6 viable turtles we were able to help. In addition, they gave us a contact for a boat tour. (Cherenga Tours) gave my husband and I a boat tour where we saw hundreds of turtles (500 ) in the water. It was an incredible site! He went above and beyond during the tour! We also saw dolphins on the way back! What a great 2 days! We ate pizza and pasta at the restaurant about 100 m down the road which was good. We also went into Nosara and really enjoyed the Tacos Al Pastor at Howlers.
The owners are very nice and were helpful regarding booking excursions and setting up turtle tour. property is well kept.
This was my second time staying here.
