I am unfortunately disappointed in the service at this hotel. I booked through Hotels.com and got a single room with a double bed. Upon check-in, they said the room we reserved was unavailable but would be the following day, and we could move into it at 10 am. I agreed to this, and we stayed in another room. Morning time came; we were all packed up and ready to move to the next room. It wasn’t ready, but I understood the cleaning staff needed to get the room ready, so my partner and I went for a walk to the Plaza; the receptionist said it would be ready by 12. We got back to the hotel, and they said it would be ready right away. We waited, an hour went by, I asked again and still nothing! We didn’t get the room till 2 pm. We wasted our afternoon waiting around the lobby for our room to be ready.
On the last day, I checked out and asked if we could leave our bags with them while we went to Machu Picchu; they said they had a storage room and there were cameras. I returned in the evening, and our bags were moved to the front desk, once I got to our new hotel I saw that my white gold earrings were missing and I know I packed them that morning and placed them in their original box. They also did not give us a bag full of clothing items left behind in the room. I had to go ask for it when I asked for my earrings, after I was told that there was nothing left behind in the room.
