I recently stayed at this hotel over the weekend and had a TERRIBLE experience and very much an emotionally disturbed experience. This staff harassed, discriminated and broke multiple federal laws pertaining to my service animal.
I announced that I have a service dog AND offered my papers at check in. I was declined in looking at the papers so I thought all was well. 24 hours into the stay my fiancé was harassed on multiple occasions by the front desk and stated we would be charged a $250 fee for my SERVICE DOG. I proceeded to speak with this same person in a calm manner asking to see my paperwork I signed upon arrival showing that it states service dogs are allowed. She claimed I was trying to fight her, yet cameras would show different and my FOUR year old was standing there. I once again offered my papers to clear up the issue and was declined again. 2:45 am comes around and I take my dog out to use the restroom and out of no where receive a $250 charge to my credit card. At this point I am frustrated because I thought we had cleared this situation up. I go to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude, confrontational, and tried to blame me for not announcing her which was not true. He had the audacity to tell me he saw my dog go to the bathroom and there is no way she is a service animal and I don’t look like I need one. At this point I requested a refund because it is ILLEGAL and be refused so I had to call the cops to get my refund. Absolutely unacceptable.
