The staff was courteous and available 24/7. I had a problem with a continuous blinking "message" light on the telephone and no one could explain why or turn it off. The solution offered was to cover the phone or unplug it; neither of which was suitable to me. Also, there was some type of "smart" mirror in the room above the desk that even when "off" still had control buttons that glowed all the time and there was apparently no way to turn off so impossible to sleep with the light they emitted. Again solution from front desk was to unplug the power cord. The bathroom toilet seat was loose and the room was just dated and the carpet needed a good shampooing as smells from use over time had stayed in the carpet.

It wasn’t bad but it is definitely outdated. The jacuzzi wasn’t really clean and the jets didn’t really work. It’s leaking from the faucet but hot water!!! I was thankful for! The bed was comfortable. I like that they offered breakfast!

We were happy there the first night. T he second night we got back from dinner and the room was uninhabitable. The entire room smelled like stinky skunky pot. I have a heart disability and use an oxygenator machine 24/7, so this was especially dangerous for me. We immediately packed up and went to the front desk. The attendant told us that they could give us some Lysol, which is something else I'm not supposed to be around. She agreed that it probably from someone smoking pot. We booked a room at the local Holiday Inn, through Hotels.com of course. We were refunded $88 but I think that was for the 3rd night. This incident should have been handled differently.

No Towels
My hotel room and parts of the hallway had a strong musty, mildew smell. The bath tub had rust stains in the center of it. I was there for three nights and the elevator was broken the whole time. And when I requested extra towels, the front desk said they did not have any on site. I asked them how that was possible, they are a hotel. The front desk person just shrugged their shoulders. This hotel received four point five stars. I'm not sure who lied but it should only be two stars. My room and my friend's didn't have any smoke detectors in them. That is a fire code violation. This hotel should be a last choice. It served its purpose for us, but never again.

I used to always stay here when it was the Magnuson. Friendly, and accommodating staff and the facilities were well kept. However, since the Sure Stay management change the overall quality has gone downhill. Very disappointed. Will no longer stay here.
