The Hotel is fantastic but the parking fees are awful We stayed for 11 days at the Hotel and the parking fee was $ 825 which was more than I paid for our hire car We have stayed many years in this area at other hotels and because we are staying so long they usually help you with the parking fee In fact we have stayed many many times at Monarch Beach but since they have outsourced their parking service to a third party they are unable to help I realize most visitors from the US would probably only stay one or two nights but when you visit from Europe you tend to stay a lot longer

Everything was great. Although the hotel fees and valet fees are something to keep in mind. Dinning at the hotel can be very expensive although food is delicious.

The property facilities were not maintained as one would expect at a 5 star resort. The food served was average. No mini fridge in the upgraded room. Only one hook in the bathroom. Again, not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel.
