Place is old and feels old. For now it’s below average. Overpriced for location, amenities, and features.
Room had been upgraded recently: new vinyl plank flooring, paint, new mattress, new shower stall and bathroom fixtures. The mattress was nice and firm which is my preference. The shower stall was roomier than a tub and the higher shower head (hand-held) with adjustable settings was a plus. The room had a small flatscreen tv upon an old dresser, a mini-fridge with a small microwave above it, and a small round table with two chairs. What it lacked was a desk or tabletop upon which one can set their things. The room had no clothes bar so I had to hang my shirts on the window curtain rod. The bathroom had no vanity and the rounded mirror was small. A bigger mirror was needed as well as a vanity which would allow one to set their toiletries. The vanity top could be built to extend above the toilet for additional surface area. Only two washcloths and two very small bath towels (about the size of two hand towels) were provided. It would have been standard to provide hand towels. The bath towels need to be larger.
Most other rooms are being remodeled so the parking lot had a waste container and construction materials. It’s on a busy road with trucks driving by at all hours and the construction noise began shortly after 7 am plus railroad tracks in the back with train traffic.
Maybe once construction is finished and a clothes bar is installed it may rate an additional star.
