The staff was friendly. The hotel itself was pretty clean. The room could have been cleaned a little more detailed but was pretty good. The location was great walked all around town from hotel. I would stay again.

The hotel is located in the heart of Deadwood. It is very close to a variety of shops and casinos. There are several options for dining. Everything you need is within a very short walk with many sidewalk benches to accommodate everyone. With all the cameras (due to casino’s) we felt safe and secure regardless of the hour.

We have stayed at multiple properties in the Deadwood downtown area. This location was very convenient to shops and dining. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. We really liked the complimentary breakfast each morning. They had hot and cold options. Good coffee, water and tea available as well. We traveled with our kids, so the pool area was nice to have. A lot of the downtown area hotels don't have pools. The hot tub was the hottest I have sat in a long time. To me that's a good thing but I would be careful with kids. We stayed in queen suite. It had an open couch which was nice for our kids so they didn't have to share a bed. The room itself was ok. The problem we had was that there were no windows facing outside. There was a window that faced into the hallway so you didn't really want the blinds open for people to be looking into your room. We did ask for room of our type with an outside view but we were told, they don't offer that type of room with a window. Something to keep in mind if this bothers you. We were busy and out and about so not in the room a lot. But next time I would not book that type of room. Overall, staff was friendly and helpful with questions that we asked.
