The lodge is spectacular! The location is beautiful. The restaurant was excellent. The rooms themselves were fine, nothing fancy. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Backdrop in the Spearfish Canyon was gorgeous during October. Rooms were very comfy and cabin like as were commons! Only CON: The hot tubs had way too much chemicals, wow!

The hot tubs at the property were disappointing! One hot tub was unbelievably hot and the other one had sooo much chemical in it that it burnt your eyes and was hard to breathe. The bartender in the lounge for the night cap was very slow...

I really enjoyed the lodge atmosphere of the property, especially with the large fireplace in the lobby sitting area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was very good, although a bit pricey. Views were superb with the flowing creek and canyon walls around. Most scenic place I've stayed at in years. Worth a visit.
