Delightful and colourful old hotel. Clean and quiet in room. Breakfast waa food and a few vegan options which is good. Maybe more vegan options please.

Loved the ambience of slightly faded elegance and charm at this hotel. Not the cheapest option, but very clean, safe and convenient. With the exception of one grumpy person who must have gotten out of bed the wrong way, staff were lovely and very helpful. Much better option that staying at one of the big American chains. Definitely recommend.

A bit of an oasis in New Delhi
I mainly enjoyed my stay here. In fact I stayed here 12 years ago. The main issues I had were: I wasn't asked for pre auth on checking in. And had to pay for our late night drinks on arrival. I went back to reception and was able to pre auth for a specified amount. We checked out snd i paid for both rooms in cash/card as we were leaving India I wanted to use up our excess money. Thus was fine and we cleared our account the night before leaving. On handing in our cards at 6.00 a.m next day. Our payment was challenged. They kept us waiting about 10 mins thrn said it was ok! The attitude was very bad as if we were trying to cheat them! Finally- the hotel cars were pretty expensive. But the driver who collected us from NDLS was very good and met us st the door of our train. He got a good tip. The drivrr who took us to the airport questioned if we had already psid! However, the staff in the bar and dining room and coffee shop were really lovely and very helpful. The rooms weren't big - I didn't get an upgrade - but comfortable. Empty minibar. Poor/garden area is lovely and relaxing. The door staff were also very helpful.
