This hotel is very nice but a bit further away from the main areas. We booked a superior room but the room we were given was very basic and quite surprised that Taj Palace had such basic rooms, probably the equivalent of a 2 or 3 star hotel. We complained and sure enough the manager apologised and upgraded us to a much nicer room. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent although a bit chaotic at times. Overall quite a lovely hotel.

Taj Palace is a wonderful hotel in Delhi where you can enjoy a luxurious peace in the middle of a frenetic city. Great experience
Had a great first time staying at the Taj Palace! Everything from the cleanliness of the rooms to the service, food, and amenities were top notch. A special thanks to Ramesh, Radhey, and Praveen with the concierge staff that really helped us out when we had to coordinate luggage storage as well as getting our bags ready to go for a really late flight. Will definetly be staying here again when I am back in New Delhi!

The Taj hospitality is next to none and this property is no exception. Every staff was super helpful towards us. The chef during breakfast took special attention to us and made a custom dish with idly and podi - which was out of the world During the last day, we had food poisoning (from outside food and not Taj’s). That’s when we realised how they look after the guests. They extended our check out time, arranged doctor, made food that helped recover our tummies etc. we felt like home with how they looked after us.

This is a very busy property. people coming and going at all times of the day and night. Breakfast time was a bit chaotic. We had dinner at Loya and we enjoyed it very much.

The room was mediocre, with a dated appearance that immediately stood out. The furniture and decor felt old and uninspired, and the paintwork was poor, showing signs of wear and tear. The bathroom style, tiles, tub (no shower stall) makes it a bathroom in a Motel in the US, definitely not at an iconic 5 star in New Delhi. Overall, the room and hallways lacked the maintenance and upkeep you'd expect from a luxury hotel of this caliber. It’s clear the property is overdue for a significant update and reinvention. Check-in was unnecessarily long and inefficient. Instead of a centralized desk, the hotel uses 2-3 smaller check-in tables, which, while novel, seemed disorganized. I was ushered to a smaller desk on the side, supposedly for check-outs, where I was eventually checked in. The entire process took 20-25 minutes! I was assigned a twin-bed room as a single occupant. While this setup might be suitable for families, it felt poorly matched for my needs. Check out was even longer! And I had to call out and incorrect charge for a room upgrade that I never received. Attention to detail was lacking. For instance, there was no iron or ironing board in the room—a basic amenity in most hotels of this caliber. Breakfast was another sore point. There was a wait every morning (20 minutes). Given the Taj Palace's reputation as one of Delhi’s iconic hotels, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it did not live up to them. It pales in comparison to other luxury hotels in the city.

We got there late and missed staying first night. It was a bit disappointing to not get any form of compensation for the nightly rate. Everything else was top notch. Would stay here again. Access to Taj club was icing on the cake. I’d like to recognize outstanding services of Dinesh Gupta, Amit Chand downstairs. At the club the twins Vishal and Vikas.
