Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins is a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable lodge just outside the fun town of Talkeetna. Dora and Toma are wonderful hosts and the setting that overlooked a large pond reminded us of the amazing natural world Alaska offers. Our stay was all too brief and it is worth noting that Tom can organize an extensive fishing expedition of one is so inclined. Dora is an accomplished artist and her works were a delightful enhancement to the lodge.

Very happy with this room. Very clean and lots of room. Loved the little breakfast bowl that was in the fridge. Had everything you could need. Fridge, microwave and coffee machine.

The room was spacious and clean. The deck was a nice place to visit and enjoy the scenery with new friends. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. They offered suggestions about local sites to see.

Small, quaint but very comfortable. Pleasant hosts
We took a gamble with staying in a small owner managed property. We were not disappointed. We were met by Tom Redman, the owner, who showed us around and welcomed us to use any of the property amenities. There were only a limited number of guest rooms (4) but we felt welcome in Tom and Dora's "home". It is tucked off the beaten path and you have about a 15 minute driver into Talkeetna but we were comfortable with the location. Our only issue was with the pleasant weather we enjoyed, the room was terribly hot. We had a ceiling fan but it provided limited comfort. I'm not sure of the lodge had central air conditioning. If it did, it wasn't turned on. We had a difficult time sleeping with the room so hot. The room had private bath, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and TV so there was no communal sharing of these things. We had our private accommodations even though Tom and Dora were sharing "their house". Breakfast service was eliminated during COVID and had not been restored. There was a breakfast sandwich in the refrigerator of our room but we chose just to get on the road in the morning and find a full breakfast elsewhere.

Tom (and Paco the chihuahua) welcomed us like family. Our room with a stunning view of Denali was supremely comfortable and appointed with top finishes… hair dryer, Kuerig coffee maker, Roku TV service. We liked it so much we cancelled our room at Denali Natl Park and came back!

The hosts were wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, BUT when we were used to a king bed, a queen size is too small to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious EXCEPT for the shower which was way too small. Finally, I was not aware when I made the reservation that all of the guest rooms were on the upper floor. I have limited mobility which made going up and down the stairs difficult. I also would have liked a regular breakfast instead of one in the refrigerator that you microwaved.

We absolutely LOVED our stay. Relaxing in the hot tub looking at the breathtaking mountains, the friendliness of the owners, and the extra step for breakfast was above and beyond! We loved it so much we hope to have something similar in Alaska when we retire just because of them! We loved the options they had for extra activities! We will be back!

This property is amazing and beautiful. Excellent location with a gorgeous view of Mt Denali and the forest. Super clean! But the best part of this visit were the owners Tom and Dora.
