Lobby smelled like sewage and mold, room service came seldomly and always took away our extra blankets. Desk claimed the whole hotel was set at 71F but it was definitely warmer than that. The solution was to give us a fan. Towels were also lacking and had to be called up. Yellow stain on carpet near the bed.

The lobby smelled disgusting every time I entered it. Only 1 cup was provided in the room. The tub drained very slowly. The temperature in the room could not be set lower than 71F.

booked a stay months in advance and skimmed through the hotel details and didn’t find a single thing regarding that the hotel was 21 come to find out once we drive 8 hours from omaha to denver the people at the front desk tell us that they can’t let us check in due to the fact that we’re not 21 if we would’ve known that it was the case we obviously wouldn’t have booked it.. another note, they looked at my ID and said that i “wasn’t 18 years old” which was another reason that i couldn’t get in but i literally turned 18 last year and am turning 19 this year.. overall a very bad and inconvenient experience…

Great stay, but beware climate control
For being an old building that the HIE moved in to, it’s well kept and meets expectations. Rooms are a bit smaller than average, even with the smaller (double/full) beds. Bathroom is likewise small. But these weren’t problems. The biggest challenge is that HVAC is central to the ENTIRE building, so you have to get a box fan from the desk if it’s warmer than you prefer (make sure it works before you go back up!). Lack of a fridge was the only other inconvenience.

I have never smelt a lobby that stank so badly that I couldn’t even even eat in the breakfast area that it was attached to it. The breakfast sausage patty was cold in the center.

Hotel seemed unorganized. There was no bedding or pillows for the pullout bed. The main bed was just ok. The pullout bed was smaller than expected. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom even though there were 4 of us. I’m glad we basically just used the hotel for a place to sleep.

Disappointing
Location was awesome in the middle of downtown. A lot of homeless people outside. The lobby had a very objectionable smell, but, the room was very clean. 78° room with no air conditioning was not comfortable. Did not sleep well. With Hampton Inn and Brown Palace nearby a little bit more but definitely would be worth the money. I will not return to this location.
