This property is very run down for a homewood. This is the first time I’ve ever complained to management about the physical condition of my room and property. Manager stated that there is a complete remodel coming next year.

The hotel is becoming dated and could use newer carpet in the rooms. The breakfast staff (especially Kyle) were great about keeping items replenished and amenable when I had questions and a request for more of a food item. The toaster equipment probably needs to be fixed (the lighter/darker dial); folks had to put bread items through it twice to get browned up. The towels were plentiful in the rooms, and the refrigerator in the double queens suite was clean and cold. For guests not familiar with this hotel, note that the fitness room and pool/hot tub are on the lowest level (Floor 1) with the lobby being on floor 2. (I prefer the fitness room being on the main level as the lobby and dining area.) The hot tub and pool were both operational and clean; plenty of towels available. The fitness room is adjacent to the pool room, seoarated by glass windows with treadmills, elliptical machine and stationary bike facing the pool area.

This hotel may have had one of the best hotel breakfast we have ever had! It included veggies, salsas and fresh berries on certain days. There were a few issues with our stove and safe not working, however maintenance was available and fixed what they could right away. I do wish they had a few more items in their kitchen for cooking but we made it work. I liked the small extras such as the puzzle in the foyer we each got some pieces on and it was very close to downtown Denver, Golden, Red Rocks and anything we wanted to access.

Great room great staff from receptionist to kitchen staff. Very friendly and all smiles. Kitchen staff worked at keeping breakfast full and eating area clean. I am a raving fan for this hotel. Best breakfast i have eaten since travelling for past two months. Thank you

Breakfast was good. Rioms were loud, shower heads did not have much pressure. Safes did not work Staff was very nice. Maintenance did assist with safe, but it was ready to be replaced and you could not change the code...

Running a SCAM on hotels.com guests!
THIS HOTEL IS RUNNING A SCAM on guests that book through a third-party website like Hotels.com. Upon check-in, I was told their system will double-charge taxes on any bookings made from a third-party site. To avoid this, they needed to rebook the room at the 'pre-tax' rate so their system could correctly add taxes. When they did this, they increased the cost of my stay by around a hundred dollars. It sounded suspicious but I didn't even consider they would be rebooking the room at a completely different rate. No indication of this was ever given, and I didn't have to sign anything authorizing a new room rate. Their front desk will not talk to anyone who booked through a third-party website. I'm working with Hotels.com to be refunded, but will probably never choose the 'pay at the hotel' option again, and will definitely not be staying with Homewood Suites again.

We only spent one night at hotel following a concert at Red Rocks. The suites were very roomy and comfortable. We were there so briefly but I would definitely book again if in the area.
