Supposed to have secured outer doors. They weren't. Homeless sitting in the hallways. Pet friendly but not a "rest" area. Dog poop all over the parking lot. Floor in room was sticky, stains on bedding and towels, extremely soiled couch in room and no toilet paper in the room

The checking in process was very convenient and the front desk man was great also checking out was great. The lady even gave us a late check out when we slept in. Also my room was nice and clean.

The room was very large and nicely setup. Everything was clean too. I was amazed how quiet it was considering we were across the hall from the laundry pass through. As the reviews state, there was people walking around outside, but friendly and minding their own business. The only problem we had was the pet policy! They say they're pet friendly and there are lots of dogs there, all well behaved. We had our cat with us, as always, she's 13 yrs old and only been outside in her carrier. She was sitting in the window watching everything and I get a call from the front desk. They don't allow cats!!! They were going to kick us out a day early because of her. I stated that they say they're pet friendly and there is big dogs everywhere? So since we were there for my husband's dieing Grandma, they let us stay for another $57.xx dollars. Hmmm. I'm mixed on that, because I had no head-space for arguing it! We moved to a different motel. Problem solved. I really liked the room and location, but geez nothing like getting booted. Grrr

I wasn’t even allowed to stay. After paying in full, they told me I wasn’t allowed to check in because I am not 21. There was nothing about this anywhere on the website, so I was forced to turn around and drive home because I had nowhere to stay. Even if we were allowed to check in, I would not have felt safe staying in this hotel. The staff was arguing in front of us, proving that neither of them wanted to do their job to assist us. They were also rude to our faces and just extremely unprofessional. The hotel itself seemed really rundown and quite frankly just scary to be in. It was not clean, even in the lobby, and did not seem like a safe place to stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! When we arrived there were people on drugs standing in the parking lot near the front door that looked very questionable as to whether they would rob you. When I went inside to check in there was an individual who appeared to be on meth arguing with the front staff. Once she called the police he left and we checked in. When I got to my room it was not as advertised. The linoleum was bubbling up from the floor and the entire surface was sticky. I checked the shower and it looked dangerous to use which is the moment I grabbed our belongings and checked out. I lost the reservation and was charged again for the room which I had to dispute with my credit card company and luckily we got that back. The staff has not been helpful and while trying to resolve the issue I’ve been hung up on and continually told that there is nothing they can do. I wish I had gone anywhere else DO NOT STAY HERE!

I really wanted to give this place 3 and a half... To be fair. Definitely not a 4. I had a nice gentleman check me in, but.... it was SO slow. And my first room was already occupied! And then the second room, NEITHER of the key cards worked. So I had to go back to reception twice to finally have it sorted. And seeing other staff members on the desk making what seemed to obviously be personal phone calls whilst people were checking in seemed VERY unprofessional. The room was nice though. Clean, with comfortable beds, good air con and WiFi, and was quiet too. There were a few... shall I say "dubious" people around. Smoking near the back entrance stairs. Guests obviously, but still smoking right in front of the "No Smoking" signs, which annoys me. The area... is OK. We crossed under the motorway to get to Denny's (only a 4 minute walk), and there were the usual people hanging out at the intersection. But nothing really super weird or creepy.... Just... keep your wits about you and probably be at least 2 of you if you're gonna walk somewhere nearby. I did feel sorry for the gentleman checking me in. He looks just like Anthony Perkins, so the Bates Motel kind of sprung to mind. Thankfully, I was not murdered in the shower, which is why I can write this review. But maybe just a little more training for staff and a reminder what they can and can't do whilst on reception, in view and within earshot of customers / guests would be a good idea?
