Great location, great host
The location is great for events at Little Caesers Arena. It was very clean and on a quiet street, with off-street parking. The place is in the basement of the host's home. He was very considerate and helpful. It had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. We'd stay again.

Great for Games!
This location was amazing for access to all sporting events in downtown Detroit. Everything was easily walkable and restaurants easy to find. The exact block still shows some character, but will be built up nicely over the next couple of years. Donavan was amazing with recommendations and a friendly word. He even mailed a lost stuffed animal for my son. That kindness was greatly appreciated! Our dog was very happy in this basement apartment as it was very quiet and cool. My five and eight year old boys loved sleeping on the futon together and watching a movie. While the entrance was separate, I was expecting it to be private.

Me and my two pals were in town for a concert at Little Caesars Arena, and this was a clean and convenient spot. Appreciated the ability to walk to the show and surrounding amenities and come back to a relaxing, welcoming place to stay.

Gorgeous spot in downtown
Donovan and his B&B are both, Fantastic!!! Beautifully redone apartment in the basement of his beautiful home. We stayed for a Detroit Tigers game and it took us 5 mins to walk to the stadium. Parking is located on the property, off street. Huge shower, comfortable bed and AC to keep you nice and cool. We won’t stay anywhere else in Detroit!!! Already booked for November…if you’re in town, this is your spot!!

Excellent city adventure
Our friend group stayed to attend a concert at Comerica Park. This location is perfect for any event as it is completely walkable! Parking availability, time and expense are a none issue when staying with Donavan. He is an amazing host. Very responsive before arrival and during the stay. His historic home is a diamond in the rough and his restoration work is lovely. We appreciate his desire to maintain the property and the neighborhood. The suite is perfect for relaxing including the ability to cook a snack or meal. We look forward to staying again.

Fantastic Stay!
Awesome historic property, walking distance to downtown and great restaurants. The host, Donovan, is fantastic and made us feel so welcome and comfortable! The unit is a basement unit with A/C which worked great, as it was in the high 80s during our stay. Highly recommend!

Broken window boarded up, poor landscaping, no hot tub. Parking under canapé of trees without visibility is daunting in Detroit.

Location, location, location...and incredible history
My wife, 2 children (tween & teen), our dog, and myself all stayed for 3 nights. If you want to be close to Comerica Park, Ford Field, the Fox Theater, Little Ceasars Arena, etc. then this is the place for you. Basically 2 blocks to any of those. You absolutely can not beat the location. The basement studio apartment is great. Way bigger than a hotel room, plus you get a full kitchen. There's also a laundry and gym room down there that you can use. He has the basement of a huge house divided out nicely so there's a door from the street that gets you into the basement and then a seperated apartment with a locking door as well. The house is a whole other story in itself. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but trust me when I say it's incredible. If you love old architecture and history the way we do, you're going to be amazed. The host was very friendly and accomodating. We have found our new go to place when we visit Detroit. I can't wait to stay again.

Perfect Location in DT Detroit
The studio was spacious and had a perfect location! The a/c wasn’t working which was disappointing but the property manager did provide a fan and luckily the studio is in the basement. Communication with him was a breeze and I would stay here again!
