We were in town for a friend’s wedding. The host was responsive with check in details and that was very easy. Plenty of parking and a cool space. That’s where the good ends unfortunately. The place was unclean to the point that my husband and I changed our clothes for the wedding then packed up all of our stuff and left. We’ve never had to leave a rental before this experience. Kitchen: water and stain/grime on the counter and a dirty hardened washcloth in the sink. Floors: visible large pieces of debris as well as dirt etc. Bed: sheets were suspiciously creased as if someone slept in them, hair was in the bed as well as on the pillow cases. Thank god we checked. Bathroom: urine and hair on the toilet, hair and wetness around the sink. We contacted VRBO and the host refused to refund us. So instead of enjoying the wedding I was stuck messaging the uncaring host and trying to find another place to stay. VRBO is still working on the situation with me.
