The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was the restaurant closes early 10:00. The hotel was very nice, location, valet parking, clean facility. Rooms were comfortable. Elevators are small.

Excellent place to stay however short staffed and our did not have sheets and blanket for the pull out sofa. No one wants to sleep uncomfortable. They had no blankets available to give to us. The hotel. Completely booked. On check out they have me points but. Not sure I will stay at another one of these hotels so the points do not compensate for my inconvenience.

A very nice, basic hotel. It's not luxury, but then neither is the price (very good). Great location for walking the entire downtown area including the Fox, Ford Field/Comerica Park, Little Cesar's Arena, and the waterfront.

I love the location near every event venues in Downtown. The room was clean and minimalist. The restaurant hours could be later than 10 p for a downtown hotel.. But overall it was nice and I’d start again.

I was impressed by the staff who were very attentive to customers and helpful throughout my stay. The lobby, fitness center, and public spaces were all clean and well cared for. The rooms were on the small side, but the shower was great and the beds comfortable. I liked having the keurig and both a refrigerator and microwave in my room. The decor was nice, but materials were not the most durable and the furniture showed a bit of wear. I ended up pulling one drawer pull off without even any pressure but got it reattatched. The heating and cooling was functional but quite noisy and a little disruptive. I was a bit surprised how expensive the valet parking was. The restaurant experience I had was good and the beverage selection was excellent. It was convenient to have that option available, though there are better dining options available downtown. Prices at the restaurant were competitive with other similar fare that I saw and had during my visit. The service was good, polite and attentive, though not particularly friendly. Overall, I liked this hotel for its location, comfort, and basic amenities. It was clean and the staff was great. If luxury is your goal, this is not the place, but it was a very good stay and I'd highly recommend it for a better than basic accommodation.

I liked that it was so central, but some things seemed outdated. I was excited to have the sirloin steak at The Trolley Room hotel restaurant but the quality was really rough - it was a busy evening in the restaurant, but the steak was extremely tough - hockey puck style - and well done (had requested medium rare), and mashed potatoes were room temp. No sauce, so much bleu cheese, lacked flavor and needed something more. It was just disappointing. Also, I really think that the restaurant needs to get rid of the window drawings. It's "cute", but it doesn't match the vibe and makes it feel weird.

Valet service quite slow. Rooms clean. Breakfast was excellent, but extremely poorly staffed. Not sure if there were employees that called off? Poor girl was the only server for the entire place! It took much longer than expected to order and get food. I overheard the table next to us who was there for work having to message and move back their 10am meeting because they waiting there so long.
