Booked a room through hotels.com and got a authorization yes they had rooms. Went to the hotel and the front desk rude woman says we don't have any rooms you don't have a reservation. I looked around the hotel and you can see plenty of open drapes meaning an empty room. I don't know what her game was but I called hotels.com and it took it over an hour to finally get them to say they spoke to her and confirmed what I already told them! Then another few to find me a ratty hotel in the wrong part of town I told them about and not on the way back to Columbus from Detroit. I said just give me my money back and I hung up. Stop it a couple of hotels on the drive and everything is booked so I'm driving 3 hours back to Columbus in the middle of the morning 3:00 a.m.!
This Red roof Inn is awful, There were small trash bags in the hallway by the over running Garbage cans. Right before I got to my room walking down another hallway smelt like straight urine. Get inside my room the dresser is completely broken,as in it was missing the bottom draw completely and the other two were stuck .the light was going out and it was super low and blinking( I was Told that maintenance will be here in the morning, no one can help me tonight) cigarette holes on the comforter and sheets and mildew on the shower curtain. Went directly back down to the front desk to ask for a different room and was told with an attitude that all the rooms are the same. If you want to fell safe dont stay here.
Used to be the best deal I'm town. Under old management The manager was very personable seat to it herself that everything was up to expectations new customers by name. And it was as clean as you can expect. This is my first time there under new management The room was half put together dirty there was no shade on the lamp no amenities
The location was ok . It wasn't really far from good food or restaurants, but the bed sheets had little stains on them and black nasty mold at the bottom around one of the bed sheets. The floor was filthy as if it hadn't been swept or mopped in a month. Dead flies lye on the floor in the restroom and sink area. The tub and shower was nasty. The shower floor especially had visible scum and dirt all caked on. Overall I didn't want to touch anything, but I was so tired that I just lay and rest for a night, Disgusted
Terrible stay. Needed somewhere to stay after the Microsoft glitch caused air travel delays.
1.After check-in at 12AM, I was directed to the wrong building so that was 10 minutes of frustration.
2. I had to request a room change after discovering door latch malfunction.
3. The toilet ran randomly all night so that impacted my ability to sleep.
4. A lot of transients. It says no smoking on property but people were constantly outside smoking.
5. Reeks of piss in the hallways
