I checked in late and maybe that’s why the rooms were so horrendous; however that doesn’t excuse the rooms functionality.
The first room I received, the light switch was broken and the tv didn’t work properly (that was room 138). The light switch was smashed into the wall. The tv remote wouldn’t work for the television and there was only access to the power button; so I couldn’t change channels or adjust the volume.
The second room I received, the lights were broken as well. (This is room 240). The light switch was in the on position when I walked in to a room that was only lit by moonlight cascading through the window. The refrigerator had a strange smell coming from it. The lamps in the room had no bulbs and were unplugged. The television didn’t work properly in this room either. The remote would power on the tv, switch inputs, and adjust the volume, but nothing else; and the tv was set to the home shopping network. I went to change my room again but the front desk was closed for the night. I ordered something to eat and drink before bed only to leave it for a short while and come back to a roach sitting in my cup.
There was smashed and busted make-up in the parking lot and trash alongside the curb to the street.
Definitely not the experience I expected from what is rated as a “good” inn to stay at. Getting rest was quite cumbersome due to the issues the location has. I had to go through my belongings and clothes just insure I didn’t have any additional passengers.
