"Perfect stay. I loved everything about Kars Oteli. The building is one of the few remaining old Russian mansions in Kars, my room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful long outside balcony. The bed was superb. The room had a fridge, kettle and coffee machine, also a cafetière. A good breakfast. Most of all Metin Bey was excellent, he found me a Turkish tour (museums, Ani, lake çıldır) for the next day, and helped with every query. He kindly packed me a good breakfast for the doğu ekspresi - lucky as there's no food on the train (only on the tourist one). I highly recommend staying here. "

I don’t remember the name of each one of them but they were all professional and nice always ready to help and assist. Miss Melisa, Ebru and Mr Erhan were extremely helpful with everything! Oh not to forget the breakfast was so delicious! What truly sets Katerina Sarayi apart for me is Niko (the cat) and the outstanding service! I may have repeatedly emphasized on the service and hospitality but having stayed in many different hotels around the world I’ve never came across such a beautiful team! Looking forward to go back! The breakfast buffet was good but get there early (before 9 am. If you get there at 9 am or later, everything is empty or only a few things left. When the çay runs out, no more is made. The hotel is located close to everything. "
