LES HIRONDELLES GITE...
The peaceful, one storey gîte 'Les Hirondelles' is surrounded by lawns and fruit trees, with views of the forest covered valley. The wood clad building was inspired by the old tobacco barns in the region, and is closely situated to the pool and play area. Its terrace overlooks the orchard, with garden furniture and a BBQ, with lawns beyond for relaxing, playing and picnicking.
Enter from the terrace through patio doors into a large kitchen / diner / lounge. The open space has a bright and fresh atmosphere, while the beams and wood-burning stove make it cosy for a winter getaway.

A double bedroom (1 bed 140x190) with an attached bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). The patio doors from this bedroom also lead to the terrace.

SHARED SPACES
The large swimming pool is surrounded with sun loungers and parasols and overlooks numerous lawns and fruit trees.
The play area includes swings, a tire monster, a large trampoline with enclosure, badminton and a ping-pong table. Ball games are permitted on the larger fields behind the property.
Off road parking is available, and a laundry room.
LOCATION...
The cottage is set in a quiet off road location, just outside of the hill top Bastille town of Domme, and 15 minutes from the medieval city of Sarlat.
The centre of Domme is just a 15-20 minute walk from the gites, or 3 minutes by car, where you will find numerous bars, restaurants, tourist shops, cafes, patisserie, a Casino Contact (grocers), a cash machine, and a post office.
Domme is a tourist attraction in itself, being officially classed as one of 'the most beautiful villages of France'. It offers a magnificent 180 degree view point across the Dordogne valley, a stalactite cave system with a glass lift looking out over the river, tours of the medieval gate towers which imprisoned the Knights Templars, and beautiful public gardens and footpaths around the ancient town walls.

Nestled at the heart of the Dordogne, the scenic views are breath-taking, and the magnificent architecture documents the area's fascinating history, with a chateau around almost every corner.
Nearby attractions include sites officially listed as 'The most beautiful villages of France' including the historic towns of Domme, Sarlat, La Roque Gageac built into the cliffs, Castelnaud, Beynac, and the beautiful gardens of Marqueyssac... And much more, all within a 20 minute drive!
