The best fillet steak
Overall we were happy with our stay. The country house and its grounds were lovely but unfortunately our room was way too hot, even with the window open, a fan and in the month of December. However, the management provided breakfast as compensation and said to email them next time for an upgrade which we really appreciated. The customer service was excellent especially Anna working in the bar and serving us our food. The food was exceptional and I have to say, the best fillet steak I’ve had in years.

Unbelievable I travel a lot and this hotel is by far the best it's absolutely amazing 10/10 we loved every minute of our stay I didn't want to leave!! Hotel staff are ALL so friendly and lovely. Definitely coming back with all the family and friends cant wait to show this gem off.

Wonderful stay at the special Wotton House
We had a wonderful stay at Wotton House. It felt like such a treat, the staff made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless, spacious and the bed was very comfy. The hotel has several inviting spaces to relax and have a drink. We enjoyed the bar area and the Morning room looked very inviting with a roaring fire, if only we’d had more time. The breakfast was of a very high quality and there were so many options on offer. We were very impressed with it all and would highly recommend. We hope to be back soon

We visited Wotton House for a wedding. Our room wasn’t available at check in time so we were give a voucher for two glasses of Prosecco. This wasn’t much use as the wedding had a free bar! We checked in after the wedding breakfast, and in doing so, we were gutted to have missed the surprise entertainment in the bar. When we went to our rooms after the wedding, we found my husband’s pillow case was damp, and there was so conditioner or body wash in the bathroom containers. Very disappointing for what was supposed to be a really special night away in a luxury hotel. On check out, we were not asked how our stay was, so have not fed back our thoughts.

Room was lovely but only heating was a small plug in oil radiator. Biggest let down was the restaurant.....left standing at the entrance for about 3/4 minutes while people just walked past and ignored us, premium prices only to be served frozen french fries and peas. Service time was slow, and when asked if we could have a grass roll, was told 'you can order the artisan bread off the menu', and just after we had seen a tray piled high with rolls taken through to a function room. Starter was delicious but was about two mouthfuls big! Only saving grace was the young waitress who was working her first shift....she was lovely, and attentive, and also a little embarrassed. Didn't bother with breakfast despite having paid for it. Overall not worth the money for a one night stay, definitely much better options for a lot less.

A great hotel. We stayed in a new updated premium room which was oively. Only issue was no draws at all one basic wardrobe and no mirrors near plush ( my wife told me. Need a little More furniture in the room as it’s was lovely and big and bathroom was excellent
