The place is easy to reach and you can park your car in the internal courtyard. To check-in you need to go to the hotel and restaurant across the road. The building and common areas look clean and well-kept. The room, facing the courtyard, was a bit run-down with scratches on the walls, peeled wallpaper and limescale in the shower. The bathroom is very basic and it doesn’t have any surface to leave your toiletries. The bed was comfortable, both mattress and pillow. When we dropped our bags in the room, I was relieved that it was facing the back, as Halterner str. could be quite loud, however, both nights there was a group of people using the internal courtyard as their personal gathering space, talking loudly and smoking until the early hours. If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep, this might not be your choice.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel war leider von einer Vielzahl von Unannehmlichkeiten geprägt. Zunächst fiel uns auf, dass im Zimmer ein Rauchmelder fehlte, was ein erhebliches Sicherheitsrisiko darstellte. Zudem verbreitete sich im Flur ein starker Geruch nach Zigarettenrauch, der unsere Erfahrung negativ beeinflusste. Das Waschbecken im Badezimmer funktionierte nicht richtig, da es nicht abfloss. Ein noch besorgniserregender Vorfall war, dass wir einen Stromschlag erlitten, als das Waschbecken voll war. Die Zimmerreinigung hinterließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Unsere Zimmertür wurde den gesamten Tag über komplett offen gelassen, obwohl wir Wertsachen im Zimmer hatten. Dies führte zu erheblicher Unruhe. Zudem befand sich die Umgebung des Hotels in einem unfertigen Zustand und einer eher weniger angenehmen Umgebung, was die allgemeine Atmosphäre trübte. Eine weitere Unannehmlichkeit war, dass die Putzfrau ohne Vorankündigung um 10 Uhr morgens in unser Zimmer kam, was unsere Privatsphäre verletzte. Die Dusche im Badezimmer war stark verkalkt und in einem schlechten Zustand. Auf der positiven Seite müssen wir jedoch erwähnen, dass die Zimmer aufgeräumt und relativ sauber waren. Das Hotel gewährte uns auch einen Rabatt aufgrund der aufgeführten Mängel, was zumindest etwas Entschädigung für die Unannehmlichkeiten bot. Dennoch trübte die unfertige und unangenehme Umgebung unser Gesamterlebnis erheblich.

Das Hotel und das Personal waren sehr angenehm. Leider liegt es an einer Hauptstraße. Da wir kein Straßenlärm gewohnt sind haben wir über Nacht die Fenster geschlossen gehalten, was es sehr warm machte. Zum Frühstück ging es über die Straße, was aber nciht weiter schlimm war. Es wurde alle Wünsche erfüllt.
