Casino and Lookys are modern, whole other parts of hotel are very out dated. Needs some TLC and a full refurbishment. Bald carpets throughout property. Dated decor. Rooms dated and need repairing.

Very friendly staff, good location. Room not cleaned or restocked the entire time we stayed: apparently this is only done once every 3 days! Would not have booked if this had been clear from the description. As a hotel i expect towels to be changed and coffee / loo rolls / essentials to be replenished daily

Satisfactory. Rooms at the rear especially on 2nd floor have intrusive noise from external plant. Beds not very comfortable. Staff good. Lack of flexibility with meals. Spa/swimming pool very good and free. Good location.

Just got home after a 3 night stay. Hotel rooms was clean and tidy no problems . Staff was lovely Freindly and helpful. Food breakfast and evening meal was lovely too. All 3 of us had a great stay Thankyou. 😊

Hotel is very dated, needs a complete revamp. Patchy carpets, creaking furniture Too a long walk from central Douglas. Room only cleaned every 3 days, which seems odd. Overpriced.

This is a lovely hotel and firendly staff. However, it does need to be updated a bit. It was in a good location near the bus stop. Just parts of the hotel looked a bit dated.

The Best Western Palace Hotel is a good choice for those wanting a holiday in Douglas, with the ability to walk to various local attractions. The hotel has excellent and friendly staff, but the service is limited. Caution: They only service your room every third full day of your stay. For a hotel claiming to be 4 Star, this is insufficient. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with plenty of space in the King Size sea view rooms. The public areas could use a refresh, and in particular the carpets are old, old-fashioned and threadbare in parts. The hotel has access to two restaurants and two bars. We didn't use the Paragon Bar, which is attached to the restaurant of the same name. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We only ate breakfast there, but were happy with both the buffet and a la carte service. The second bar is Looky's, a newly refurbished bar are with comfortable seating and a reasonable range of drinks at OK prices. My one complaint about this bar is that it reserved tables for people from outside the hotel. This was disappointing, as as hotel residents one would expect to be ably to find a comfortable seat in one's own hotel bar. The second restaurant is the majestic. This is a Chinese restaurant with access from the Promenade and the hotel. The food here was authentic Chinese and very good value for money. The staff were very friendly. We ate there twice in four nights.

Hotel is in a great location with all the amenities you would need however it’s very tired and in need of an update. They have started by the looks of it with a newly laid car park, new bar and a new area in the restaurant. I’m sure if they do the rest of the hotel to those standards it will be really nice
