This was a necessary stop as we were travelling through the state - this was the only accommodations at a reasonable price in the area. Although, they tried, and we could see the effort - this inn missed the mark. The room was ok - bed was comfortable enough, but the carpet left something to be desired- shoes indoors are a must in this place.the bathroom in our room looked like it was newly redone, which was nice. Parking was limited, but free. Pool looked nice and clean, but due to our short turn around we didn’t use it. Check in was simple enough and we were greeted, which was nice. At check out, no one was available. We called as per their sign and waited but still no one showed up. We had to just leave the key cards on the desk. There is no smoking in the rooms, which is a given, but smoking took place every other place, including on the stairs, out front of the office - as non-smokers this was a little off-putting. Our room came with free breakfast, but upon arrival in the small room hosting breakfast, it was extremely underwhelming and we opted to eat on our way out of town. In all honesty, small changes to this inn (changing out the carpets, variety for breakfast/don’t put food items in zippy bags, no smoking in front of rooms) would make the world of difference.
