Zero Communication
Completely disappointed in the lack of communication from host. I contacted host (Josh) about confirming our stay once the 24 hour mark passed and he was completely surprised by my request, stating he would “get back to me” later that day. Later that day turned into two calls to Vrbo support to figure out if we are/aren’t staying at the property. Cancelled on us the morning of our stay (power outage?) which is the most enraging part of this experience. Spent the first half of the getaway weekend scrambling for a hotel. He ghosted us when communication was needed most. Overall horrendous experience!

Did not ever receive check in details, 30 mins after check in time host messaged asking me to cancel due to his "cleaning team finding mold during the cleaning"? No more responses after that. vrbo did refund me at least.

No access info was provided for check in. Could not get ahold of property owner to get inside. Never even was able to step foot inside the unit. Waiting on my refund for this stay.

Fire alarm
Great location to the flats. Very cute place. However, fire alarm needed battery and was ten feet up so we couldn’t replace it. We communicated with owner and said he had contacted someone. No one showed up. Texted again… crickets… 2 fifty year olds slept on couch in living room because of noise. Couch was comfortable but prefer a bed. Need a handyman close. It is a good crash pad for a night. Also, washer and dryer not in unit.

Nice place. Bad experience
I had to constantly talk with the property manager, who was very responsive. This was a bit of a hassle while traveling. The cleaning lady walked into the room twice on the wrong day, without us letting her in which was quite a surprise. Then our truck had its window smashed and property stolen in the parking lot directly connected to the building and recommended by the owner which was a very awful experience on a cold Cleveland day. I contacted the owner regarding that and he seemed genuinely concerned, told me he was just walking into the office and he would contact me back... but he never did. So the place is pretty nice but the customer experience, service, and neighborhood were bad.

The Cozy Cave was perfect for our stay in Cleveland. We were in the city to see one of our favorite bands at the House of Blues. We loved how close we were to everything, especially that we were able to walk to everything on News Years Eve. We will def stay again if we need to visit the area soon!!

Very cozy, private, and comfortable
I was in town for business and stayed here at the cozy cave for 2 nights. This was also my first time using a vacation rental place instead of the usual hotels... I was VERY happy with my decision to go the VRBO route over a hotel. This VRBO had everything I needed. 75" smart tv, fast internet, comfy bed, full kitchen, comfortable chairs and couch, swanky design, and my favorite part was the pool table. The flats are a short walk away for entertainment. If you pick this place for your stay you won't be disapointed.
