Lovely stay, tiny parking hiccup
We stayed 2 nights during our recent trip to Halifax. The hotel itself is very pretty and our room was super comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and had a great shower, very hot and strong water pressure. The immediate area is a bit confusing due to construction right outside the hotel but the staff did give us directions to enter through another adjacent hotel. The only little hiccup we had was that our parking was included in our reservation which the evening staff did not realize when we checked in. The staff the following morning kindly pointed it out when we asked an unrelated question about parking. We were able to have the parking charge reverted although it caused a little confusion with the staff. It was a tiny bump in the road in an otherwise lovely stay. I'd stay again if we were back in Halifax.

The hotel’s glory days seem to have been in the 90s. The decor is dated and has a musky smell. It was well-maintained though and is conveniently located downtown. It was an above average stay all things considering.

Room was very disappointing, dated, wallpaper peeling and shower wasnt clean and free of hair. I had to call front staff to check out or fridge as it wasnt working properly. Also the air conditoner wouldnt stay running to keep the room cool all night, beds were stiff and uncomfortable. Will not visit this property again, nor would i recommend it to anyone else.

Near harbour
Great location near the harbor. During our stay there was lots of close by construction which was not ideal. Due to flight delays, we didn't check in until 3 am. The hotel had no water until morning so we were unable to shower or even wash our hands or after a day of travel. The hotel gave complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience of this.

Great location, easy walk to board walk. Overall hotel is that ok and is a bit tired. Room is spacious. . Parking was easy and only 12$ overnight if you go in after 7 leave before 7.

This was an excellent facility for us to wrap-up our visit to Nova Scotia with a three night stay at Hotel Halifax. Excellent, clean and comfortable beds and great in-room amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our room with a view (and a small balcony) overlooking the harbour. There is a lot of construction and development in the Halifax core area and this includes the front of the hotel so this created a small challenge for us to initially find the hotel and get into the parking garage, but we did and it is only mentioned as a note to have some patience with the construction traffic (this is beyond the control of the hotel!). Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend Hotel Halifax.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Halifax! Great spot, we loved being a short walk from the Harbourfront. Even with construction going on, we had no trouble getting to the parking or walking back to our room.

We stayed 6 nights and I forgot the DND sign on the door when we headed out for the day . Apparently it was our cleaning day. The next day , after 4 nights, I asked for clean towels and if she could empty the garbage and she said no because it wasn’t my day. I asked her to leave clean towels in the room. I took out the garbage myself and asked the other cleaner for a fresh bag. That wasn’t so hard now was it.
