Definitely going back every time we’re in LA. Closed to almost everything. Lots of dining options. I just wished they will update their rooms, most especially the bathrooms. Put something in the roof area so it’s more enticing for people to hangout and stay and an area in the lobby where you can hangout as well.

The front desk staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. This trip Abe and Melissa were fantastic. Since it is the LAAC - the use of their facilities makes this a great location for a workout. The rooms are charming with comfortable bedding.

Good customer service at check in and out, easy parking and the common areas have lots of history. I was only there one night and the room was clean and adequate for my needs. Unfortunately, I was woken up at 5:30am by my neighbor that was speaking loudly on a phone call. I was put in a room with an adjoining room option and because of that, heard him loud and clear and it ruined my morning.

I have been staying at LAAC since 2013, and this hotel has gone downhill over the years. While the athletic club facilities are still really great, the cost per night has risen substantially, even from last year, while other (non athletic club) amenities have decreased. But what will make me rethink ever staying here again is the abysmal service I receive from the front desk. Case-in-point: My wife and I enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. When we checked in I noticed that there was only one pod of regular coffee in the room. I went down to the front desk and asked for two more pods. Three hours later I went down and asked again, on our way out to lunch. When we returned home for the evening there are still nothing. I gave up. Over 24 hours later, and just an hour before we were to check out, they delivered the pods. This is but one example of the bush league service we received. There are so many $350 hotels in DTLA. I have to assume most of them are willing to go the extra mile and accommodate a customer who would simply like a cup of coffee in the morning.

Lovely hotel.. great location if you need to stay in DTLA. Beds really comfy, staff really helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were great.. lovely breakfast! Great atmosphere in the bar. Lovely decor throughout, if I had one small complaint would be the rooms are very dark but that the character of the hotel! Overall great stay and I will be Staying here again

Enjoyable weekend stay at this hotel in downtown Los Angeles. If you're into the history of the city, this place definitely has a lot of it, particularly as it relates to its sports & Olympic history. There are certainly plenty of amenities for the fitness enthusiasts. And it's conveniently located near a lot of bars & restaurants in the city. There's even a Whole Foods & CVS within a block if you need to stop by for supplies there. It's a worthwhile place to stay if you're looking for something beyond the hotels you see advertised on TV all the time.

From check in to check out, the staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. Amazing hotel with lovely decor and fabulous ambience. If you like to travel and keep in shape, this hotel is perfect - loved the gym, pool, courts, sports shop and locker room steam & sauna, etc. would definitely stay here again if back in LA!

Staying at LAAC is great because of the ability to use the great athletic facilities and this makes it worth the price to me. And it is terrific that they have now brought back dining options that had been lost during the pandemic. But the housekeeping service really fell down on my last visit. The coffee service wasn’t changed overnight, cleaning rags were left in my room, towels not totally changed. And the room in general felt shabby. I’ve stayed in rooms before that felt like old school but good condition. This time, the room and furnishings seemed more like they needed a refresh/update.

I was promised early check in that then day of couldn’t accommodate, I would have Paid since was on no sleep. I will say I choose to stay here to be able to spend the day using the amenities pool gym etc. by the time I got to the pool and had 20 min to use it - it was full and I couldn’t even use. hour Airport ride away, expecting a 4 star property stay, which I don’t think this hotel should be able to call themselves. 1. The hotel on arrival was far from accommodating or even attempting to find me an alternative room. I sat in the relaxation lounge was alone for hours then I was cussed out by a member that walked in as I was seeing a patient emergently on FaceTime, I care for hospice patients. I called the front again from the 5th floor trying to see when room was ready I was told to come down and it was ready in 30 min, I did so then was told the room was not ready and there was no room. I asked for manager then was given keys and room, get up to room and men working in room…It only got worse from there with being sent to a room that was being worked on. Once finally got a down graded room which I didn’t get reimbursed for since I paid for a suite, lunch order wrong and items never received . no water in room. unheard of for a 4 star hotel doesn’t provide water. Bed super uncomfortable, thermostat in room didn’t cool, shower got so hot and unable to get cool water. Don’t stay here!!!!!

Amazing find and any time I am staying in LA I will make a first effort to stay at the LA Athletic Club - wish I could have stayed and made use of the clubs amenities - just had to tour imagining the history of such an iconic building and story. Staff were friendly and welcoming - a secret worth knowing……
