We had one day to spend downtown and wanted to be close to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. We found both here. Charming historic hotel. We booked the cozy single queen and it was VERY small. But we were just looking for a clean place to sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool area was beautiful. LOTS of construction in the area but easy to navigate. Very historical hotel.

I liked the location and old style, but I didn't like that we were placed in a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom kept flooding when you showered, and the closet was in the bathroom The ac thermostat wasn't very responsive The good thing if you called for help they come quickly.

They recently renovated this historic hotel with very updated accommodations. Our room was very nice with a view of the Alamo. We enjoyed the nightly live music at the tavern located near the lobby. Only complaint is that the morning breakfast is now being served at the Menger Hotel that is across the street. Valet parking is easy with in and out accessibility. There is a lot of construction around the area, as they are reconstructing the Alamo surrounding buildings. This is a beautiful hotel and we will definitely stay here again!

Nice stay. Quite. The bed wasn’t so comfortable. The room was a little smaller than I expected but it was pretty nice feel either way. Shower pressure was on point. Housekeeping lady doing our area was very friendly. Valet did good too. Price was a little too much for what we got. But we paying for historical.

This was a nice spot for one person. The only complaint was the shower was backed up and the temperature was impossible to regulate. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and you get a really big fridge to store drinks, etc.

We could see The Alamo from our room. We were next to everything-shopping, food, museums, transportation, the riverwalk. The hotel was a historic site with a lot of charm and in pristine condition.

Great location!
The stay was great as we were right NEXT to the Alamo. The lack communication in regards to the parking needs to get better as well as the $150 fee that is needed at time if checkin. The young lady says it wouldn’t charge until we leave but it charged at time of transaction. We shall see if I get it back minus the valet parking charge. Oh yeah there is no free parking anywhere. Room had refrigerator but no microwave which was an inconvenience for leftovers. The hotel was beautiful and historical which I loved! We will be back!!!!

Our Stay
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel because it was walking distance to all the locations we wanted to visit. Howl at the Moon, The Alamo and The River Walk :) The only downside was having to pay $45 plus tax a day for our parking at this hotel. Other than that the stay was nice.
